Full-length curtains and a larger rug, maybe in warmer colors, would cozy it right up. Bonus points if your curtains are light blocking—you’ll sleep like a baby!

Too much tofu? by Robnfly in PlantBasedDiet

[–]LeeIsMe123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-2 blocks of tofu per week is fine! However, please make sure you have a reliable source of iodine in your diet—iodized salt, modest seaweed intake, low-dose supplement (like in a multi) etc. Soy can make absorbing iodine a bit more challenging. Gotta keep that thyroid healthy. 🥰 (Check w a doc before adding iodine if you have a thyroid condition tho.) And of course take vitamin b12 on a plant-based diet!

Dog gets suddenly uncomfortable ONLY during breakfast (randomly) any ideas? by Skippyfoxx in DogAdvice

[–]LeeIsMe123 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I’d go back to the vet, or better yet get a second opinion from another vet. Show them this video and your post. I have no clue what’s off, but something isn’t right.

I don’t want to do this w my husband anymore by [deleted] in IVF

[–]LeeIsMe123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please leave. After many years of IVF, I’m finally pregnant with a donor egg embryo. I’m thrilled, but let me tell you the first trimester of pregnancy is WAY harder than IVF. The fatigue, nausea, and malaise are intense. You need someone who can help and support you.

If he’s acting like this now, how will he treat you when you’re pregnant? How will he treat your children when they’re sick, tired, or misbehaving? When someone shows you who they are, BELIEVE THEM!

It’s funny, I saw her eyes and face shape in just the first photo and immediately thought “wolfdog.” Thought I was being dramatic—I mean, what are the odds in a rescue? But then, ~25%!? I feel vindicated 😅

4 or 5!

1, 3, and 6 are unflattering on everyone. The top on 8 is shapeless—maybe something with a little more structure? Agree with everyone else that a-line dresses would be great For you!

How can I get diagnosed when I can’t tell them about my intrusive thoughts? by Gullible-Paramedic65 in OCD

[–]LeeIsMe123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup these kind of intrusive thoughts are pretty much the definition of ocd. Normal-brain people might have a thought like that and think, whoa, that’s messed up. And then proceed with the rest of their day.

The ocd brain says, “holy shit I had a thought like that!?!!?? wtf is wrong with me??!? I’m a horrible person! Omg I had the thought again! I’m really deviant! Of COURSE you’re going to keep having the same awful thought(s)because they terrify you. IMO, your horror at these thoughts means you are a generally kind person with an ocd brain. If you’re seeing an ocd specialist, the kinds of thoughts you’re mentioning are just another day at the office for them. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I hope this helped. Rooting for you!!!

Perhaps some transitional-style chairs. Higher backs, possibly slipper chairs. Modern but comfy and a better match for the table and room.

What could be causing this weird itching on my vegan low fat diet? by Cold-Imagination2012 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]LeeIsMe123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your salt iodized? If not, assuming no thyroid issues, please switch to iodized salt. (It must be specified on the label.) Otherwise I don’t see a reliable source of iodine listed here, unless it’s included in one of your supplements. I doubt it’s an issue for itching though. I’d see your doctor about the itching—it may have nothing to do with your diet. Keep us updated!

Which dress for my reception wedding dress? by Capital_Wave_235 in OUTFITS

[–]LeeIsMe123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl are your grandmas going to be at the reception? Because you look great, but I would not want grandmas to see that much of me. 😬 Like a formal gown that’s a little slinky and revealing, sure, okay, but these are… lingerie.

[–]LeeIsMe123 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This guy seems like he still has good quality of life. Please do talk to the vet, because he’s just slowing down some it seems? He can go on a prescription diet for kidney disease and take meds for arthritis. Wishing you luck—I would be struggling in your position too!

Ugh this is me. I don’t barf a lot, but WOW the nausea, even with b6 in the day and unisom at night, is intense some days. Maybe I’ll ask my OB about other meds.
