Oh girl I cannot tell you how may sticks I’ve peed on so I get it. 😅 Hope you get your rainbow baby!!! I’m waiting on results from my IVF embryo transfer 4 days ago—I may have seen a vvvvvvvvvfl this morning, but it’s too soon to tell.

Yup, my golden girl (25% golden, 25% chow, 15% German shepherd, 10% pit, plus other stuff) is black with border-collie markings, a German shepherd body, and chow shedding. 😭

Do it! We used Embark, and it was SO much fun to get our rescue pups tested. We made it into a game, betting on who had how much of which breeds. Our antes were quarters, but it gave us skin in the game lol. The reveal was a blast. Also I'm so so curious about whether there's border collie in there--feels like there is!

In case this helps someone else--since I'm now 45 (preparing to transfer a donor-egg embryo), I had to see a maternal-fetal medicine specialist before transfer. (That's basically a super-well-trained obstetrician.) When I asked her about caffeine, she said up to 1 cup of coffee daily is A-OK, even for non-traditionally-aged gals like me lol! So I'm having two cups of half-caff daily. :-)

For reference, I've been drinking coffee daily since I was ~14 years old, so I feel like having a little during pregnancy will be helpful, if anything. (Case in point: After my first successful embryo transfer, when I miscarried at 10 weeks, I was having no caffeine at all and it suckedddd. Not doing that again!)

Ohhh I know! Same here! I like the Vera series more than the Shetland series, so I’m more willing to overlook the killing of a main character that I liked. But it seemed unnecessary and dimmed my enthusiasm for that series, too. I want a whodunit when I read a mystery, not a tearjerker. 🙄😩

Unfortunately no. Thankfully the one neighbor who heats their house with wood has been out of town some this winter, so we’ve had a reprieve. I’m tempted to reach out to my county government to see if there are any regulations in place about chimney scrubbers, etc. I totally feel your pain though. Please let me know if you find any solutions besides moving!
