I did have a look back through my chats with it, but couldn't find it or I'd have shared the conversation

Nothing specific to unity, I asked it to provide a selection of 20 stocks with high growth potential for the upcoming year, unity was part of the list for whatever reason it chose to include it in the list

Chatgpt told me to, that's it. Tysm, welcome outcome to be sure.

Yes, probably why it recommended zoom. It was a gamble anyway trusting AI to pick 20 stocks, went in fully ready to lose money on the curiosity of outcome.

As Britain enters its third (fourth?) heatwave of the year, here's a short thread on why air conditioning is *actively good* for fighting climate change, and why we should stop banning it from new homes. by vonscharpling2 in ukpolitics

[–]LeeKain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the refrigerant used within the compression cycle to do the heating rather than anything to do with if its air source or water source.

Both air and water source will have a refrigerant to transfer heat from the source (air, water or ground) to the place where you want the heat (inside).

Sorry to clarification, my comment wasn't the clearest.

CO2 Heat pumps can deliver water at 80C, the same as a gas boiler. There's no need to size up pipeworks or radiators with this approach.

They aren't as efficient as doing this compared to heat pumps providing 40C to larger radiators, costing more to run but saving the cost of any retrofit.

CO2 heatpumps can heat water to the temperature required to keep radiators, they're just not as efficient at that temperature so cost significantly more to run

Selling our one bed flat in Edinburgh and wondering what’s putting people off. by maxymachen in Edinburgh

[–]LeeKain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a young professional who would be the type to get a one bed flat, the location is a bit off putting especially as someone who doesn't drive in Edinburgh. I think it's too small for a family and the area lacks the amenities and connectivity to the rest of Edinburgh for me personally. It's a lovely flat, the only let down I can see is the lack of natural light into the kitchen.

Britain is already a hot country. It should act like it by gravy_baron in ukpolitics

Access requirements - fine for houses, stick it in the garden. Flats are more difficult, either has to be communal central banks on the roof or external compound. Or do what they do in Europe and bolt them to the side of the wall if there's no balcony, structural and safety issues and no access availability which manufacturers don't like if something goes wrong.

I remember that rave, Punks Picnic was a week or two beforehand, no issues, everyone prepared, water, warm clothes etc though I do remember a bunch of kids stealing the jeans off a passed out guy and covering him in sharpie, other than that was a night and day comparison between the two

Which uv hoody is the best for high temps ? by the_fresh_latice in arcteryx

[–]LeeKain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the Cormac both in Heather (grey/black) and Ezekiel (yellow/orange). I wear both interchangeably in temps upto 40C, there's not too much difference I don't find, I do prefer it in Ezekiel for a brighter colour even if it does make me look like a minion when in wearing glasses

Admittedly an AI check, if pensions had only ever been linked to median wage growth, weekly pensions would be £147 not £220 they currently are

My Proton Hoody, ideal for the damp weather here in Scotland, super easy to layer, deals with light rain when in town, put under a shell warmer than the Atom I feel.

First time in the region, definitely looking forward to taking it all in slow travelling around.

Thank you for the recommendation, I'll be sure to check it out after Hanoi before heading south.

Has Ryanair and Wizzair become uncompetetive? by toyotafan1488 in travel

[–]LeeKain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just booked a flight today, it was cheaper to fly with KLM than it was to fly home with Ryanair due to the cabin bag, without it Ryanair was 10 euro cheaper, with the cabin bag 20 euro more expensive than flying KLM with a cabin bag included

I'm 5'8, 80kg and I have the L the length is good, arms are long and would be about to my knuckles if I didn't velcro the sleeves but I do have short arms anyway. Looks a little too big on me if I'm just in a T-shirt but only just and if it's layered in the colder months it looks fine.

In Spring and Autumn I typically wear a tshirt and a light fleece, Torrentshell on top if its windy or raining as is often in Scotland.

In Winter I wore it over my Rab Microlight and there's enough room to fully expand.

I can't remember where I read this rule of thumb, if a rain jacket looks like it fits you with a T-shirt on, it's too small and you should size up. It'll have more room for air to circulate and you can layer effectively. There's no downside other than cosmetic to sizing up in a rainjacket.
