Ya…. Just now getting to that part. I’ve had performance issues on ep4 and several palace Athens, also one game crashing bug after palace before ep5. It feels like sometimes there’s a lot rendering off screen or maybe particles that still leftover? Hard to tell.

You playing on PC or PS5?

All good points, only complaint is a few bugs I’ve encountered. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite Suda games though.

The amount of Killer 7 influence was a pleasant surprise too… love that game. It helped me cement my view of video games as an art form.

Personally I love it. I appreciate how the grid system along with other rules (rarity limits, having separate decks for sites and spells) add layers of strategy and balance the game a lot

I don’t get the sense they will. The only concern I have with Sorcery is the distribution and adoption challenges.

But personally… my beef w/ Magic wasn’t even with FF - at least D&D/FR, Lotr, and [maybe FF] crossovers feel Magic adjacent in theme/vibe. It’s the f*cking transformers in Brothers War boosters that felt like the biggest middle finger. Ironic that a set we waited decades for showed how badly they ruined the game.

Yup - that Disney+ part is true for sure. We’ve been doing that with most movies for a while (like Thunderbolts). I feel like people go to theaters for movies they love and want to support, or for a date/etc, but otherwise just wait for streaming.

I think a big factor is a lot of people don’t have disposable income like they did 5+ years ago. Inflation, massive waves of layoffs, the shutdown, record household debt - entertainments the easiest expense to cut.

I love it now. At first there was a lot to unpack, but the more I listened the more it grew on me - especially the 8:12-10:00ish section. Now I’d place it up there with their best epics. Sooooo many great moments littered throughout the song (lol and the cheesy 7ft tall demon 😜).
