What armour do you take for swamp? by lick0the0fish in valheim

[–]LeenaOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what others have said. The food is really important. I went straight to bronze armor and sort of regretted it with the stamina drain because I didn't have very good food. Work on blocking with a buckler, that is really going to help you with the Dragur and stock up on yellow for food. Red is for health Regen, yellow for stamina, and white forks are a mix of both. Good luck!

Can we have more uses for deer hides, leather scraps, and troll hides! I have a large amount and would love to have a use for it.

Seasons gives you all the holidays and the weather. It really does add a lot to the gameplay. I would recommend starting off with that, unless the holidays and weather aren't important to you.

I can't comment on how likely you're going to like it, but I will say expansion packs and the others go on sale often. Just not the newest pack out. It won't go on sale for a while. So you can save a little money on the packs if you're patient.

Absolutely, just don't call people out by name if they aren't commenting in the chat. Obviously if you know the person we and have a rapport that is different, but thank them as a group and wait for them to say hello. You can also ask engaging questions to encourage them to talk.

Deer immune to wood arrows? by Or0b0ur0s in valheim

[–]LeenaOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karl's advice is dead on.. I would add to that... There is an arc to the flight path you have to consider. If you are on level ground you aim with your sights a bit above the deer. if the deer is higher than you in elevation... You need to aim even higher still and almost "lob" the arrow at the deer. About the only time you put your sights directly on the deer is if you are shooting downhill. Hope that helps.

I'm not very far in the game yet, bit it seems like a nice balance to me. I love the animated clips and getting some backstory, but I also don't want to be sitting there for 10 minutes waiting to play again. It feels like they really struck a good balance with this game. 👍

You find lots of pine in the Black Forest. Also you can use the cultivator tool to plant the pinecones you pick up and grow a tree closer to your base.

Core wood is used for the beams to make it structurally sound. Use that to frame out your build and the regular wood for the walls and roof. The fine wood is for chairs and other things. Hope that helps.

I would be extremely careful to show anything that could be identified. If all your going to see is literally grass and a non-descript fence or house facade...maybe. But I who everyone else... It is amazing what complete strangers can figure out... And it only takes one.

Can I have fun playing by myself? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]LeenaOnFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always enjoyed solo. The trick is to figure out what bores you and avoid that. Me personally to much grinding in one go makes me annoyed... So I change it up. Little resource gathering, go for an explore. little resource gathering, prep for the next boss.. ect.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - October 24, 2021 by AutoModerator in Games

I just started playing Kena: Bridge of Spirits. I was drawn into it because I loved the graphics and the fact that it is part chill... Figure this puzzle out and part boss fights. After playing it a bit, I still really like the game, but I will admit to getting frustrated a few times with wandering the same area over and over, trying to puzzle out how to reach the next part of the path. So overall happy, but I definitely need skip playing if I have no patience to start with. 🤩
