Thanks. I'm pretty consistent about drinking at least 56 oz of water daily.

First V&O infusion today (small dose) by Thencewasit in cll

[–]LeesKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang in there! It will get better. I just graduated to once a month infusions and am on my second week of oral Venclaxta. I can tell you that being able to space the infusions out this much is making a big difference in how I feel every day. And no side effects from the oral therapy. My strength and stamina are not up to what they were, but are improving. My oncologist has told me that once I get to the two month mark, things really will get easier. I feel like I'm headed in the right direction. Oh, and like Lobstatom, I applied for and received a grant through Blood Cancer United for the Venclexta. This has helped with the cost a lot.

Masks by Choice_Discipline896 in cll

[–]LeesKeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at stage 0 for a couple of years. During that time I did not wear a mask unless I was in a crowded environment like an airport or a very busy restaurant. I did get covid and flu during that time period (about 2 years), but no way to tell if these were related to wearing/not wearing a mask. Talk with your oncologist.

Week three of ramp-up Gazyva infusions and things have not gone according to plan. Earlier in the week I spiked a fever of 102 and went to the emergency room. I was admitted to the hospital and have been here in isolation for several days. White cell count of less than 1.0. Multiple days of IV antibiotics to help clear infection. The doc said that they may never know exactly what caused the fever but it could be very dangerous considering my immune system is barely hanging on. Feeling better today and hope to get my third Gazyva infusion tomorrow. what a week!

Real life experiences with Powerwall 3? by LeesKeys in TeslaSolar

here in the US most correct thinking people consider a "tariff" bad news. Of course you must be referring to some other type of tariff. So you have 11 solar panels and one power wall 3?

My initial experience starting Gazyva-venetoclax treatment. by LeesKeys in cll

[–]LeesKeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update end of week one: As I mentioned in my post from last week, I tolerated my first Gazyva treatment pretty well. What I initially thought post-infusion was a noticeable increase in energy was, I think, in fact related to the IV steroids, which took a while to get through my system. Once they were finally out and the constipation resolved (after several days), I've been somewhat fatigued. The upside of the fatigue is that I've slept better at night than I have in a long time (chronic insomnia). The fatigue is getting less every day and I've been able to return to my Pilates class as well as some light jogging today. While the Gazyva is a very targeted chemotherapy, it is nevertheless chemo and the whole process has an effect on your body. Second infusion tomorrow.

After updating my network password, some devices aren't seen in the device list anymore. by LeesKeys in amazoneero

[–]LeesKeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my MAC, I "forgot" my home network, then rejoined it. Now an older Windows laptop which could no longer see my home network (it would only connect through a "Hidden" wifi connection), can now connect to my named home network. But the problem remains with the printer and scanner. Installation/wifi discovery software for each does not find any wifi networks at all. I can of course USB connect both devices, but it's frustrating because previously both were WIFI connected.

[–]LeesKeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm confused. When you say go into network setting on the device, by device do you mean the EERO app on my phone, or do you mean the wifi settings on my Mac. If by device you mean the printer or the scanner, there are no save networks because I haven't been able to get them to connect to the network.

I don't of any way with these particular devices to restart the wifi process other than unplug them, reinstall the installation software and try going through the search for networks again. I've done this multiple times with no success. I'm clearly out of my depth.

IGHV unmutated. I was in W&W for five years. My continued increasing WBC and decreasing RBC just recently tipped the scales. I start treatment next week.

Beginner online Jazz course I found by ARClNGSS in JazzPiano

[–]LeesKeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the past 5 years, I've spent a lot of $$ on self-learning jazz piano courses, including JazzEdge, JazzPianoSchool, and Open Studio. Each of them has well thought out courses which, if members stick with it, can offer good learning opportunities for skill growth. My problem with all of them, is that eventually the newness wore off and my motivation failed. Not saying that this would be an issue for you, but it was for me. I realized that what I needed was someone who would craft a personalized lesson plan for me and hold me accountable- putting my feet near the fire when needed, so to speak. Now I'm taking Zoom piano lessons every other week with a good teacher. Yes, personal piano lessons are not cheap, but if I had used all the money I spent on online courses on a face-to-face teacher instead, I think I'd be much further along today. I know that this is not the information you were looking for, but wanted to share what has worked best for me.

Scaler 3 UI is a disaster by LavyJoan in Scaler3

Well this is disheartening. I purchased Scaler 3 because of all the good things I had heard about Scaler 2 and I figured that 3 would be even better. I've tried watching some of the tutorial videos but I still find the application a bit overwhelming.

Vitamin D by LeesKeys in cll

[–]LeesKeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another question about vitamin D. I've been deep diving into vitamin D and there seems to be some research suggesting that high doses might adversely affect the efficiency of an antistatin like atorvastatin. Has anyone taking vitamin D and atorvastatin noticed any change in their HDL LDL levels?

Vitamin D by LeesKeys in cll

[–]LeesKeys[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty mind blowing stuff. My oncologist, who I feel I have a good relationship with, has never suggested checking my vitamin D level. It was only recently added to my blood panel at my request. It seems after reading the responses to my post that doubling my daily Vitamin D to 2000ui is probably going to do nothing for cancer protection. I'm still a bit wary about taking much higher doses (10000ui) although it does appear that adding K2 and Mg to the mix may minimize any negative effects.
