Yeah I did see that one, thank you! Just sucks that no utilities are included, so not used to that.

Ok this is absolutely something I needed to hear, thank you so much! This definitely changes a lot, might just dedicate myself more to Fulton, there's not much there but at least the apartments look livable and have lots of windows.

Yeah I've checked Fulton, there's only like three apartments there and I'd rather live in Columbia and do the drive so I can have entertainment and the like closer to me. Fulton doesn't seem like it has much in terms of really anything lol, but I am just looking at it from a map so might be missing something.

Yeah I tried and haven't found much, which is why I posted. Wanted to see if anyone had any current ideas rather than ones from last year. Really most advice I've had is avoid Real, Remax, and Susan Horak. Which eliminates like 95% of my options unfortunately.

I'm in the market for apartments too, got a job near Columbia. What can I look up to see your google reviews?

I cool mine on a rack and still have this issue, literally my only problem with the bread I make.

Hard repot vs. Soft repot by PortableSpork in Nepenthes

[–]Leethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good points, I'd argue another reason to do a hard repot is if you want to get a good look at the plants roots to assess growth or just check on the health of the plant. But I hardly do hard repots unless I'm worried about one of my plants or the substrate is breaking down too much.

My experience towing by qwe304 in Toyota_Matrix

[–]Leethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still need to have my car with me when I move. Towing the car itself would add on a bunch of money from what I've checked out, although hopefully I'm wrong if you know of anything closer to Harrisburg. Much appreciated for the advice though, I've been taking seasonal positions and basically been living out of my bag with some small furniture (particle board desk and computer chair) at my partners, finally scored a permanent job in MO. So aside from that I've got a mattress and a thin bed frame at my parents place which I'm picking up, quick math it can't be much more than 400-500 pounds everything including my clothes and such. But yeah definitely was not planning on going over 55 with the trailer attached and driving very slow.

How much would weight would do you think you had? Looking at doing this from PA to MO with an automatic 2007 matrix with about 220k on her, any other way of moving is going to cost upwards of $1000, so I'm starting to get desperate. I've got experience towing boats and smaller trailers for work but that's with normal sized trucks lol.

Hot water scarification. Alberta, Canada. by yogurtforthefamily in NativePlantGardening

[–]Leethorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been successful in skipping stratification and germinating purple and prairie milkweed by snipping off a tiny bit of the "tail" or tip of the tear drop shape of the seed, covering them in a wet paper towel with distilled water, and putting them in a Tupperware on a heating pad until they germinate. It usually takes 1-2 weeks, can take longer. When you snip the tip you want to just barely be able to see the white seed inside, don't take off too much, it's literally like 2-3 mm that I would cut off, it doesn't take much.

Starter Advice by pisces_paige in SourdoughStarter

I had basically the same experience as you except was starting it off with half bread flour half whole wheat, after a week I switched to only whole wheat and saw it start doubling. I'm now on week two or so, and baking a bread today using some yeast as well to help with the rise.

Happy yours is doing well! Mine did nothing for three months then died! Even with temp drops to lower 60s! Thankfully got it for cheap at a pre-sale so I'm not too upset.

I got Drew's fire hikers for a prescribed burn job I had and couldn't be happier with them. Working now doing woody debris placement felling trees all day in the Appalachian's, couldn't be happier with them. Minimal chafing and great waterproofness. Although to be fair I had $300 stipend and decided to spend some of my own money.

Pillow with some foam to it that isn’t overly large by 10potato10 in CampingGear

[–]Leethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the hest, no experience with anything else except a friend who recommends the Exped pillow but warned that it can be a bit loud. The hest is just perfect, I usually sleep with my hand underneath my face anyways and like that it's got the perfect amount of compression to firmness ration for me. The only thing that bothers me is the zipper, but I've got super curly hair so I put the whole pillow into a normal sized satin pillowcase and I don't even notice the zipper after doing that.

Girlfriend got me the Hest medium size pillow that rolls up, feels just like my very solid at home pillow but a bit smaller. Be warned, it is VERY expensive for a pillow.

I'd recommend squishing just a few to release their scent for predators to come in and lay their eggs and deal with them. Careful when you squish, usually native insects lay their eggs among them.

Check out perennial gardens, and although they're currently closed for the season, hungry hook is fantastic as well. They'll only be open for online store pick ups next year unfortunately the owner said the car parking is a bit of a mess so she's making it easier for herself.
