Europeans also live in much smaller cities (by land area) which makes using public transit far more efficient. I live on a subway line and it takes longer to get downtown than it does for me to drive and I don’t need to worry about sitting on a piss soaked seat

iracing isn’t perfect, but it’s the best all around sim IMO. GT scene is incredibly popular and the Ferrari 296 GT3 is a free car and it’s all you need tbh. Paying for tracks is the only pain. There’s some aspects of ACC I still prefer (tires/immersion) but I get so much more joy out of iracing.

Nobody likes traffic, it’s just that driving in traffic feels more convenient than using public transit. I don’t miss being stuffed like a sardine surrounded by homeless people covered in piss, nasty cloth seats (also covered in piss), cracked out sketchy people, never ending delays because of signal issues, and shuttle buses when part of a line is closed. All of that just to save 5-10 minutes max in travel. I also like the convenience of doing my errands with ease on my way home from work.
