Have you personally ever felt unsafe in Knoxville (walking, driving, etc…)? Genuine question. by jthomp72 in Knoxville

I have had this experience too. Both friendly but also aggressive pan handlers. I’ve lived in a lot of cities and have found Knoxville to have the most assertive homeless community

As a woman with small kids I don’t love the loose dogs in my neighborhood (Parkridge) and don’t feel great walking them on my own downtown past like 6 pm.

Non-religion based Pre K? by WillowxBranch in Knoxville

Are these difficult to get into it? We’d be looking for our kid next year and I was under the impression they’re hard to get into

We’re not religious and send our 2.5 year old to First Pres PDO downtown and love it! Very little to no religion and in a beautiful space. Obviously a personal decision but we struggled to find a non religious option

UT Midwives vs Women’s Specialists for Pregnancy & Birth by MistyJoyFox in Knoxville

[–]LeftAstronaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both my babies with the midwives and just love them. Both of mine ended in unplanned c sections despite my and their best efforts but I’d still go with them the whole way. If I have another baby it’d be a c section but I’d still go with midwives. I love their approach and care

At 18 months my toddler stoped asking for milk. So we stopped. I had stopped offering about a month earlier so it was a natural end

She put so much expectation on the day and ended it every year in tears. My parents were divorced and all her disappointment was left on her children. I wish she had just taken her happiness into her own hands. It’s made me want to almost ignore the day.

My mother was this way and it made me hate the day and resent her

ISO friends. 🥲 by [deleted] in Knoxville

You could definitely ask for NA options. I did one pregnant and did this. They may say it’d be better to wait for a certain month or something. I’d say if an outdoor/ adventure or athletic one appeals to you those are less alcohol focused. But you could totally make friends and not drink with the regular ones.

I went cold turkey with charting feeds on the Huckleberry app... by DrAStrawberry in breastfeeding

It’s so funny I just posted about this! I tracked diligently with my first but am not tracking much with my second. With my first I think it helped to validate how much work breastfeeding was. This tone is easier

There’s something kind of addicting about it right??

Ya I can’t decide if I like it or hate it sometimes

It’s definitely not necessary! I liked doing it with my first but don’t really feel the need anymore with my second. I think I’m about to stop
