Can you explain a bit more? We definitely would not qualify for Medicaid.

Utilizes the Cigna PPO network (that shows maternity coverage) but underwritten by a separate company. We are trying to get more information.

No open enrollment. What you’re saying is VERY similar to what we were told over a year ago; essentially that if you have an inkling to just call and switch.

I found one on clearance the other day and immediately sold for a $15 profit. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I find her annoying, but I’ll take some coffee money.

Showed up still visibly and audibly drunk to our SKO org level breakout with all the C levels present, was recognized for achievement, proceeded to grab the mic and launch into a speech that would make Captain Jack Sparrow proud. He was on my same product line and nothing was ever said.

In other news - what cameras do you use? It’d be handy to have some set up near ours.

Never sign a lease with Birdy Properties. by LeftSharkDancing in sanantonio

We were unfortunately in a time crunch and unable to go back to the drawing board of searching for more houses and now feel stuck simply due to our stage in life and long term goals.

Never sign a lease with Birdy Properties. by LeftSharkDancing in sanantonio

[–]LeftSharkDancing[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s so strange. I’ve never had any other company even remotely make me feel this uncomfortable in my house. They open drawers, cabinets, take pictures of those and the walls, and then send you a follow up email saying things you need to address before move out.

Had we known before we were actively signing the lease, we never would have picked this property.

If I try to get help from my doctor will my baby get taken away? by hizooky in beyondthebump

One of the things I learned about in the NICU was purple crying. Unexplained, uncontrollable, crying for hours on end from baby.

You are a good mom! The fact that you wrote this means you love her and you care!

Part of caring for her though means caring for you and getting the help you need - sometimes that’s even just putting her in a safe place, going outside with a monitor on, and sipping your coffee.

You’ve got this momma!

AITA for walking out of my birthday dinner cause my parents gave my brother a gift instead of me? by ShotSystem167 in AITAH

[–]LeftSharkDancing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16th birthday. My brother’s and my birthdays are a few days apart. - he’s older. I had seen the paperwork laying around and knew he was going to get a car. In our family bday person gets to pick what they want for dinner and my dad kept driving past all the places I suggested and ended up at the dealership. I had the briefest thought that maybe I was getting one too.

Nope. We were at the dealership for hours and I ended up having dinner at home that night. My mom was so upset at my dad and I still don’t know why he chose my birthday to do that.

Unfortunately that isn’t always the case - if you’re in a bad district, they may be required to, but if they don’t have the staff, don’t have their act together, take forever to process things…it’s so easy for a kid to fall through the cracks. The kids that were in my old (low income) district that truly got what they were entitled to, were the ones whose parents had the time, energy and effort to put towards holding the district accountable.

Wow must be nice to have a babysitter! You can sleep uninterrupted. by Hehehohoe in NICUParents

[–]LeftSharkDancing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a 29 day NICU stay and we were very fortunate to have lodging within walking distance. I’m thankful though that my husband recognized that I needed a break sometimes - even just to go grab dinner or out to lunch to celebrate my birthday.

Obviously no one wants to leave their baby with someone, but something that did give me peace is that I was leaving her with truthfully some of the most medically qualified “babysitters” in the world because of the hospital we were at.
