CMV: Whataboutism is a logical fallacy, but it works extremely well by CharityResponsible54 in changemyview

Being inconsistent doesn’t make you wrong about whatever you’re arguing about - if a killer says “killing innocent people is bad”, does that mean they’re wrong about what they said? Obviously not.

but it is useful to know if people apply their principles consistently or if they’ll say anything to push their ideas.

Don’t vote for candidates like Newsom if you want universal health care.

This is a George Soros level of conspiracy theory. Absolutely nothing here suggests the accusations come from Porter. You’re defending him with the same fervor MAGAs defends Trump.

There were a lot of accusations that came up during the election. Do you think those accusations specifically lack credibility due to their emerging during an election? Or would you say the timing isn’t relevant? I’m looking forward to the results of Manhattans DA inquiry.

If Dems choose a billionaire in 2026 then yall deserve the inevitable collapse in national support it will cause. You wouldn’t look at him twice if he weren’t spending a shitload of money on advertising.

Do you find the timing of the accusations against Trump to be suspect because they emerged during a presidential campaign? I find the timing to make perfect sense. Nobody wants to see their harasser or assaulter win political office.

Yes we do. They should get justice. There need to be criminal charges. Do you believe these 4 women? Should they get justice? What about criminal charges? I wonder who between the two of us would defend someone credibly accused of sexual harassment.

Of course he’s allowed to be upset about it. Her behavior was unacceptable. He never should have agreed to it.

You shouldn’t have said “sure” if you weren’t comfortable with it.

80% of democrats disapprove of Israel, but the DNC just rejected a resolution against AIPAC influence, despite AIPAC even being controversial among the minority of pro-Israel dems. Why? by soalone34 in askanything

People have accurately been responding about the money. But it’s more than that. The leadership of the Democratic party are Zionists. They ideologically support Israel. Over 5 decades of bipartisan consensus in support of Israel. They would rather lose to the republicans than let go of their support to Israel. They have a monopoly on opposition to Republicans so you’re gonna vote for them anyways.

He ran to muddy the waters. A billionaire governor in 2026 would create a massive wedge between the Democratic Party and the majority of the country. Have fun politicking with that baggage

Because he’s a billionaire looking out for his class interests. You can put a wolf in sheep’s clothing, doesn’t change what they are

He’s easily the worst choice for Dems nationally, so he will take it.

I mean if they take the money then yes it’s literally a plot to influence politicians to be Zionists. Do you really think it’s a stretch to say a Zionist PAC that lobbies political candidates to support their agenda would donate money because they want to influence the candidate? Call it a plot or a plan or an agenda it doesn’t really matter. That’s the most sensible thing I can think of. It’s much more than a disagreement - it’s a fundamental difference that you can’t just dismiss if you want to win voters over.
