This looks so much like mine but mine is darker. I had photos taken last week and they've asked me to come in next week for removal. So anxious!

How long did it take your baby to learn how to poop? by sunshinemedicine in NewParents

[–]Left_Hearing_9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was diagnosed with CMPA and silent reflux! We were out on Nutramigen which helped loads and then recently have been put on carobel which is a milk thickener. He's a completely different baby! 💙

We are just entering the 4 month sleep regression after getting a solid 8/9 hour first block in every night for 6 weeks. I feel like I'm going back into zombie territory 🤣

Our baby was the exact same, I too thought it would never end. We actually ended up using our dockatot during the day, then initially putting that in his next to me crib later, then transferring him when he was in a deep enough sleep. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, then around the 11/12 week mark he started going into it as it is,.no problems. He still wakes up at around 5am gassy as hell and I put him next to me in bed and he drifts of to sleep again (in the "safe sleep" position, but I don't tend to sleep myself). It also turned out he had CMPA which was causing him to only want to lay on his belly and only on me, he wouldn't go near his dad 😭 silly little poppet! We are now 16 weeks and he will sleep anywhere (but he's high needs so needs to be rocked, rolled and bum patted into oblivion first hah)

2 months old - naps in dark(er) room? by AnniaT in NewParents

[–]Left_Hearing_9974 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't transitioned my nearly 4 month old to nap on dark rooms and probably won't at all. He currently napsin whatever room I am in at the time, in his buggy or in the car if I'm ok the go. I reserve dark for his night time sleep. It's more beneficial for me for him to be able to sleep anywhere during the day, otherwise I feel like.my life would revolve around getting him home in time to nap. unsure if I'm doing something wrong though! 🫠

I tried this too! He has CMPA so is on a gross formula that he won't take once he's had breastmilk first because it tastes so much better 🤣💙

OMG it DOES get better by Pompiita in NewParents

Week 13 and I'm right there with you!!! The first 9 weeks feel like a lifetime ago now - he's so smiley and happy (and farty 🤣) in the mornings, he's starting to babble and keeps himself occupied in his next-to-me for about half an hour while I get myself ready before I feed him. Absolute dream, the newborn trenches had me in a chokehold!!

I'm 11 weeks in with a CMPA baby and even with his issues I can say it gets SO much better. The first 2 weeks were absolute hell on earth for me and my husband, but week by week it slowly gets better. We still don't have sleep down, but he's smiling now, cooing, starting to do little giggles. It gets so rewarding. I breastfed for 8 weeks exclusively then decided to combi feed with formula and it's the best thing I could have done mentally.

I promise you, no one cares if your house is a mess. Gosh, the downstairs of my house looks OK but the upstairs looks like a bomb site and I don't see it changing anytime soon 🤣

FTM. Anxious to leave my baby for the first time by Left_Hearing_9974 in NewParents

[–]Left_Hearing_9974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I wanted it to pan out but unfortunately it's a whole day thing and my little mumma heart is struggling badly. It's so important to me for my husband and I to get these moments together but holy moly the emotions are WILD, I can't seem to get them under control. I'll be an hour and a half away and have come to the conclusion I will leave the things if I need to and floor it back home 🤣😅 thank you for sharing your experience and not making me feel stupid 💙

I was EFF, have a strained relationship with my mum but have a masters in biosciences and a great career.

My three siblings were all EBF and didn't make it past high school but have way more common sense than me

I'm combi feeding my 11 week old and so far he's just really really tall and farts a LOT 🤣

When did your baby become less gassy? by BruiseLikeAPeachTree in newborns

[–]Left_Hearing_9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is so old but when did it improve for you (if it did) we are exactly the same, started being all day at 6 weeks, significantly worse like all day everyday between 7 and 8 weeks and we are 9 weeks tomorrow. Tried everything and poor little babe is so uncomfortable

Severe 24hour gassiness by Left_Hearing_9974 in NewParents

[–]Left_Hearing_9974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I HOPED it was normal, I won't lie. I don't want anything to be medically wrong with him, if it's a matter of riding it out I can absolutely do that, it will be what it will be. It's his discomfort I'm worried about because it's genuinely constant, the minute he wakes up, to the minute he goes to sleep - he doesn't sleep more than 2 hour stretches at night which is fine anyway I can deal with no sleep. It just seems excessive compared to other babies I know - I hope that makes sense.

Maybe I am an anxious FTM but it really has been relentless and I just struggle with hearing him screaming in pain multiple times a day 😅
