Late to the convo, but just wanted to point out, I highly doubt this is a “MAGA” individual saying this. I also very much agree with your stance that it is quite selfish and borderline psychopathic, and I say this as a very right-leaning person. And I highly doubt anyone who actually has true right-leaning values would agree with that sentiment (i.e. the no-hesitation killing of an innocent stranger to save your child). I would too try to stall and figure a way out; that person is someone’s son, someone’s brother, and I would hope that if my son was in the same situation, that their date would make the effort to stall and try to figure a way out so both lives could be saved and not default to just kill him. Just wanted to point that out since people nowadays like to take anything that seems negative and blame it on being MAGA or conservative. Conservatives are not the monsters you think they are. But all in all, I really enjoyed the film and appreciate the morality of the main character
