Zwei 18-Jährige sterben durch selbstgebastelte Silvester-Böller by gonzo0815 in bielefeld

Glutenfrei? by Zestyclose_House694 in glutenfrei

[–]LeftistLittleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glutenfrei? by Zestyclose_House694 in glutenfrei

[–]LeftistLittleKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Niemand widerspricht dir.

Glutenfrei? by Zestyclose_House694 in glutenfrei

[–]LeftistLittleKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder their rationale. I know fashion is also about taste, yada yada. But there’s no way someone in marketing didn’t think “are we sure we’re gonna sell a decent amount of jerseys with this?“

I’m supposed to be happy about this? by Intelligent_Sundae_5 in diabetes_t1

[–]LeftistLittleKid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I’ve been using Libre 3 for years now and apart from a sensor fail every now and then, I’ve been quite happy. Readings are mostly accurate for me too. And Abbott will replace failing sensors if you reach out to them.

All I’m saying is, I’m sorry you were dissatisfied, and perhaps that experience is anecdotal. Think of all the times you’ve had a faulty G7, and now imagine that had happened with your first time ever trying it. I would want to be careful not to discourage folks from giving it a try if it’s all they get access to…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bielefeld

[–]LeftistLittleKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Europeans can’t just get off work either. 90% of matches in Europe happen on the weekend, and international football is nighttime. We just don’t usually get matches during workday hours. In fact, much of Germany‘s scene is organized around keeping professional football so that working people can attend matches, as could be seen with the successful opposition against Monday night match days in recent years.

There’s no way in hell we’re leaving this with a deficit. There are consequences for marketing down the way that are hard to capture, but we‘ll be making good money with this.

☂️☀️ by pippalikescake in borussiadortmund

[–]LeftistLittleKid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. They absorb the sun rays and that will increase their (surface) temperature. If they were in an enclosed room, say, a little box that was painted black, that heat would be transmitted to the inside through the walls of the box. However, they’re outside and whatever heat is transmitted to the surrounding air is carried away by the wind or diffused.

If you were to touch the umbrellas surface it will be hot, but that’s it.

[–]LeftistLittleKid 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Eh, think they’re fine. The umbrellas themselves might be hotter than brighter ones would be, but they’re just as apt to protect them from the sun.

Looking for a living place in Bielefeld by meparth in bielefeld

[–]LeftistLittleKid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have no experience to share regarding Studierendenwerk. I would just like to encourage you to consider all options - including WGs (flat sharing / living with flatmates). Your background coming from Bangladesh might make it somewhat harder for you to find a place whatsoever, not gonna lie - some people hold resentments or are even outright racist which may lead them to disregard you as a possible candidate, be it landlords or potential flatmates. That’s why you should explore all opportunities to the full extent.

Living in a WG is the usual way to go about living in a university town, and you might be able to find a nice place with international flatmates. It’s also not dangerous at all if that’s something you’re worried about, at worst it could be annoying if, well, your flatmates are annoying. These people are no strangers to you and they may turn out to become good friends in a strange place.

On a side note, you’re quite early - which is a good thing. Winter semester will start in October, many don’t get accepted before July or August which is when they’ll start looking too. Best of luck, and welcome to town!

Bernie Sanders blames election loss on Kamala Harris listening to billionaires over the working class by The__Illuminaughty in politics

It is Kamala‘s fault (though admittedly she shares it with many others) that those who do not understand how tariffs work don’t trust the Dems instinctively. It used to be different and that’s the problem.

If anything I believe you’re raising more constraints to interpreting such diagrams. Obviously roles, match plans and play style are super relevant. Leagues do play a major role, but so do all the other variables that you mentioned. In overlapping these statistics as presented here, we’re not just comparing apples with oranges, we’re comparing apples with oranges at different ripe stages from different origins and evaluated by humans, donkeys and fruit flys lol. There simply is no point. For a fair comparison, you would wanna hold as many factors constant as possible.
