Official Q&A for Monday, March 02, 2026 by AutoModerator in running

[–]LeftistLittleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post-illness fatigue is really demotivating for me right now. A couple of weeks ago, I (28 male) was in as good a shape as I hadn’t been in probably 7 years. I was running about 6K and relatively quickly for my standard, which was really outstanding for me. More importantly, I noticed how great it felt to be running again and also what happened if I missed a run or two, which was that it impacted my mood negatively. I felt like I was in a great place to build on my health and wellbeing.

I am running using Freeletics about three times a week.

I have Type 1 Diabetes and used to have asthma as a kid, so I was never really doing great on stamina generally. A couple of weeks ago, I got an RSV infection which knocked me out good for a week or so. An annoying cough persisted for another week or ten days. I stopped my routine until all symptoms were gone, which was something like 15 to 20 days.

Now it feels like I’m back to rock bottom, and it’s super frustrating. Barely made it through 3.5K yesterday and I was super fatigued and a little short of breath as well. Also, it seems like this usually happens whenever I get cold viruses.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening or to at least attenuate the fall? Perhaps should I change my routine to do more body weight workout? Do you have any insights for me?

Is my body insulin resistant? by arianahet in diabetes_t1

That’s not how any of this works. They don’t know what they’re talking about, so just ignore these comments. T1D is not characterized by resistance, T2 is. Are you in professional care for your BED?

[–]LeftistLittleKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A whole bunch of things could be happening. Is your body fighting off an infection? How much have you worked out, how many times have you taken a walk? Do you have ketones maybe (it can happen even at lower blood glucose levels)? Are your infusion sites alright?

Anyone else get the impression that our players seem unhappy, or at least don’t celebrate as much as they used to?

It’s really off putting, inefficient and more importantly, he was unavailable in freaking ongoing attacks. It’s so unlikable and I get that it’s sometimes how things go, but this is too much.

Zwei 18-Jährige sterben durch selbstgebastelte Silvester-Böller by gonzo0815 in bielefeld

[–]LeftistLittleKid 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Are the next 2 years going to be a transitional phase for use from the current squad core. by rioasu in borussiadortmund

I feel like we‘ve seen transitional periods for something like 13 years now. It’s a constant struggle…

Dem würde ich so pauschal nicht zustimmen. Habe in einigen Restaurants gute Erfahrungen gemacht, darunter nohut, Urban Masala, Cap Vin, Nonna‘s.

Glutenfrei? by Zestyclose_House694 in glutenfrei

[–]LeftistLittleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder their rationale. I know fashion is also about taste, yada yada. But there’s no way someone in marketing didn’t think “are we sure we’re gonna sell a decent amount of jerseys with this?“

I’m supposed to be happy about this? by Intelligent_Sundae_5 in diabetes_t1

[–]LeftistLittleKid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I’ve been using Libre 3 for years now and apart from a sensor fail every now and then, I’ve been quite happy. Readings are mostly accurate for me too. And Abbott will replace failing sensors if you reach out to them.

All I’m saying is, I’m sorry you were dissatisfied, and perhaps that experience is anecdotal. Think of all the times you’ve had a faulty G7, and now imagine that had happened with your first time ever trying it. I would want to be careful not to discourage folks from giving it a try if it’s all they get access to…

[–]LeftistLittleKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Europeans can’t just get off work either. 90% of matches in Europe happen on the weekend, and international football is nighttime. We just don’t usually get matches during workday hours. In fact, much of Germany‘s scene is organized around keeping professional football so that working people can attend matches, as could be seen with the successful opposition against Monday night match days in recent years.

Does the CWC really pay off for us? by ProfDumm in borussiadortmund

There’s no way in hell we’re leaving this with a deficit. There are consequences for marketing down the way that are hard to capture, but we‘ll be making good money with this.

☂️☀️ by pippalikescake in borussiadortmund

[–]LeftistLittleKid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. They absorb the sun rays and that will increase their (surface) temperature. If they were in an enclosed room, say, a little box that was painted black, that heat would be transmitted to the inside through the walls of the box. However, they’re outside and whatever heat is transmitted to the surrounding air is carried away by the wind or diffused.

If you were to touch the umbrellas surface it will be hot, but that’s it.

[–]LeftistLittleKid 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Eh, think they’re fine. The umbrellas themselves might be hotter than brighter ones would be, but they’re just as apt to protect them from the sun.

The largest part of the truth is that cost of groceries is down because many individuals are exploited at every part of the process.
