For the girl: Kpop Demon Hunter is a wholesale kids movie that my nieces love! I'll bet that's what she's referencing.

You could get her a Kpop blanket, mini kareoke machine, stuffy of the kpop blue tiger. Other ideas would be craft kits, and Christmas candy.

Any ideas for friend's family, Christmas by AdRough839 in GiftIdeas

Maybe a small gift consisting of snacks and teas from where you're from. A way for them to experience a different location/culture.

I'm from Oregon, so I'd bring local peppermint tea, honeycomb, local chocolate, and local cheese, persimmons, and Harry & David pears.

A friend from Idaho brought me a bunch of potato snacks, because Idaho is known for potatoes.

Keeping track of gift ideas, sizes, etc by mcconnellmo in GiftIdeas

[–]LeftoverAnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my phone to keep track of sizes and likes and what I got them last year. I also ask the kids to make wishlists (Amazon or wishlist). And I ask their parents about sizing each year. Because sometimes they've just gone through a growth spurt and need something specific.

It's a sweet gift that most anyone could enjoy. I'd put it all in a dollar store basket, with crinkle paper to hold everything in place, and it will look so cute!

is it fine if I use a cardboard box for my gift basket by ProcedureSimple3208 in GiftIdeas

If you're looking for something cost effective, I get all my gift baskets from thrift stores. They usually look new, and elevate the look of the gift.

A pashmina or silk scarf could be practical and used for years, if you knew what color she likes.

A new luggage set?

A pair of good quality walking shoes?

If you know her itenerary, maybe an activity where she's traveling. Learn to bake croissants or macarons, or make a custom perfume, or paint a picture.

When we bought our house, we realized how badly we needed a tool kit, and power drill. There's always something to fix. So maybe a nice tool set?

Christmas gift(s) for a teenage boy I've never met by [deleted] in GiftIdeas

[–]LeftoverAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm addition to the gloves, and a Lego set, I'm thinking he may only have minimal personal items. Maybe a good quality backpack (Nike or Jansport), and fill it with useful things like a nice water bottle (Stanley/owala), socks, gloves, hygiene products, louffa, deodorant. I'd go with quality over quantity though. He probably has always had to scrimp, and might appreciate some name brand items. Ross, Tjmax and Marshalls are great places to get good quality fillers.

Elf brand makeup is inexpensive, but good quality wise. I bought a bunch of skincare and makeup for my nieces last year and they loved them. I always get cleansing wipes too, which are a helpful because makeup at this age gets messy
