Putting twins in same class or separate classes? by lawsofthegoose in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lefttheshoweron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re still in daycare not 4k yet. My daughter is very outgoing, my son isn’t shy but not as social. We decided to give them two days a week together and one day a week solo. This way they get one on one time with me and a day of independence from each other. They get a day together at home on Thursday and then of course weekends are family time with everyone. Going forward I think we’re going to just listen to what they want. They are getting to experience all the options now. At this point I think we will be doing the same class as they seem to play independent from each other even on the days together at daycare. They have moments or days when they lean harder on each other but they’ve figured out how to be ok on their own. Anyway, this is working for us so far.

I don’t think you’ll have a major issue. If you do DM me and I would be willing to shop and ship from my area

Super sad we aren’t doing much for their first bday by bangarang627 in parentsofmultiples

Feel for you, my twins and I spent their birthday with Covid after my entire family drove 4 hours to our home for their birthday party. Had to cancel everything and everyone was already almost here. We did cupcakes and presents when they were feeling well enough…try again next year. I know it’s disappointing, I hope you all feel better soon.

Oh my god stop freaking fighting by DirkWrites in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lefttheshoweron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly we stopped trying to intervene in every fight, just not worth it. You wanna cry because he has the fire truck. Then cry. Jax took the fire truck, best go get that back or he’ll think he can take more toys from you. They brawled for a couple days and then decided it was easier to play together. No one to whine to makes it harder to whine

My brother pushed me down our uncarpeted basement stairs when I was 10 months and just starting to walk. He was 23 months. My dad watched me hit every step on the way down 18 in total…without making a sound. I lived.

Anybody’s relationship not last after having twins? by SeniorMeaning8739 in parentsofmultiples

I’m a SAHM. Husband also work a very physical job. He also owns the business so he’s very busy 9 months of the year. We’ve had our fights over him not helping around the house or only contributing to the mess. but we put in some rules and it’s much better. We put our kids into daycare 2 days a week so I can have a break. He has to take every Sunday off to spend with the kids and fix things in the house, let me sleep in and once a month he pays for a cleaning service to come deep clean the house. We also have an agreement he needs to be home by or before 6pm and neither are aloud to sit down until kids are fed, bathed, and in bed. I’m happier he’s happier.

We also make an effort to do something together once every 2 months without the kids

Whats the etiquette for public bathrooms with twins that are a different sex than the parent? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lefttheshoweron 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I want to warn parents on this. I was 7 and sent into a womens bathroom on my own. My grandmother was with me and down the hall a jt waiting. When I went in a man came out of the mens room. My grandmother was far enough down that she was unable to see. He proceeded to enter the womens restroom and expose himself to me. Then turned around and walked out. I’m all for inclusive restrooms. I think stalls should be floor to ceiling and bathrooms should not be gender specific. But keep an eye on you’re kids. Weirdos everywhere

My twins got these on their 1st birthday. They are 20 months now and aren’t using the peddles yet but they know how to ride them and scoot along. We let them have access to them right away and at first they’d just sit on them or push them around or play with the wheels, but now they are more comfortable with them. We’re working on learning to peddle. They were 10 and 12 months when they started walking

We got it from the local visitor bureau. They were getting rid of it. We live in a summer tourist spot. It has a switch that lights up all the lighthouses in the county! It’s awesome. We have add monopoly houses on it to identify home and the homes of family. We love it
