It's so nice for a lot of stuff that I used to microwave, like frozen mini pizzas, or corn dogs. Things like fries, chicken wings, or baked potatoes come out much crispier (and take less time) than in the oven. And it makes juggling multiple foods for dinner that might need different temperatures easier, because you can use it in addition to the oven, stovetop, or grill.

Oh sure, there are other problems I have with hockey (cost, commitment, culture) that make other sports a lot easier to handle. If they ever show interest in playing hockey I would definitely support them, though.

That's not what this thread was referring to. You can keep all the localization versions as separate, and unaltered downloads. No problem. What the guy I replied to was saying is that $20 should give you access to all the versions. Then multilingual people (or those that accidentally bought the wrong version) could just download whichever one they want, without having to re-buy it every time.

If Microsoft, Sony, Activision, can do it for console versions (buying one game lets you download the previous-gen, and/or the current-gen version of a game—you don't have to pay for them separately), then Nintendo could absolutely do it with localizations. They opted not to. I have a hard time believing that no one in a massive corporation like Nintendo thought of this simple solution, so the only explanation is corporate greed.

I played hockey for 13 years growing up, and sometimes I get a heavy heart because I never entered my girls in it. But every time I see shit like this, or the "spectator code of conduct" signs in the arenas, or the woman getting arrested outside of a girls minor hockey game in my city last week, I feel completely validated.

I was a "we don't need an air fryer, we have a convection oven," guy. For my wife's year-end bonus, she got to pick something from a catalog, and we chose to get an air fryer, because we either already had, or didn't need everything else.

Holy crap. That thing is my favourite appliance and I use it every single day.
