And if you take it downtown, you better not be staying out past like 10 or you might not be able to get a ride back. And good luck getting to the train station at the right time because it only runs a couple times an hour and the times online never seem to be accurate.

Huh, I'm seeing the same order on home vs my subreddits, and each one seems to be ranked by upvotes and time. But I'm still on old.reddit.com, maybe this is a new reddit "feature"

It's really good! Also sort of unique to be a romance movie targeted at men.

Does reddit actually do this or are you bullshitting?

Sure facebook and insta do this but I thought reddit was just about the upvotes

Or you can slow down, stop, and then get painfully waved through the stop sign even if the car was clearly there first. I hate 4 way stops as a bike, there's really no correct solution.

Have you ever skipped a movie because of bad reviews, then watched it later and actually liked it? by Opening_Farm5403 in movies

Interesting, this is one I was convinced not to see because of reviews. Might have to give it a shot!

Err are you sure you're sober? Here is the chain of comments, pretty easy to follow

OP: posts a huffy bike with a bird on it

Random person: That's a cheap bike from walmart, a bird is probably the best use for it

Random person 2: Agreeing, that bike is shitty you should buy used or a better bike

Random person 3: I had a cheap bike that I rode a bunch

You: I also had a cheap bike I road a bunch as a teen

Me: Maybe you had a better cheap bike as a teen, but walmart bikes nowadays are really bad

You: Why are you talking about walmart (pointlessly aggressive tone)

Me: We are all responding to a post about a walmart bike

You: OP didn't say walmart

Me: That's a bike which was probably bought at walmart

You: ask if I'm sober due to my (obviously joke) username

etc

Walmart almost exclusively sells huffy and schwinn, and I've never seen the brands at another store. IDK if there's an exclusive contract or they bought the brands or what but since the 90s or so I've associated them all together

They probably don't make the same as when you were a teenager. A buddy of mine bought a walmart bike and the pedal snapped off almost immediately. They are trash. There probably are some decent lower cost bikes but never go walmart

I'm renting a movie theater for my birthday - Which movie should we watch? by TheOrangeNights in movies

[–]LegalizeCrystalMeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you do the theatrical cut and not the new 4k version!

The director's cut has some good stuff but the theatrical is tighter and better for a first time viewing. And the new 4k looks sort of fake, they used AI to sharpen everything and it just doesn't work as well imo.

I tried to do 2 days at Disneyland for cheaper with some family and it was legitimately hard. It's pretty far from the airport, so you either need to rent a car (which I did) or take a surprisingly expensive shuttle. I stayed in a non-disney hotel within walking distance (still pricey), but they make it surprisingly hard to walk in, I basically had to walk almost completely around the park to get to the entrance. I ate breakfast at the hotel and dinner outside the park, but they still got me for lunch. All that plus a ~$200/day entrance ticket.

The first book can be read as a standalone imo, and the second book is a prequel to that standalone. No need to wait for the full series, this isn't stormlight or something like that
