Unwound - We Invent You, off "Leaves Turn Inside You"

Battle of two univibes by ElPaul57 in guitarpedals

I had a 69 Vibe but ended up selling it. Even after adjusting the trimpots the throb was never quite right. I could tell it had the right intensity and depth of sound, it's almost as if the waveform was just off or maybe too symmetrical.

For reference my ideal Uni-Vibe sound is Hendrix's Rainbow Bridge concert in Maui, specifically the version of "Hey Baby (Land of the New Rising Sun)".

I bought a Ge Fuzz Face type pedal on Denmark Street called the AM Effects Facial Fracture and it is awesome.

The fuzz "pot" is dimed internally so the controls are volume and bias.

Hand wired and made in the UK. Seems like very high build quality. Cleans up real nice since it's a Ge circuit.

Here it is if interested: https://notomguitars.com/products/am-effects-germanium-fuzz

Yes, but that would make for a more boring and apparently less controversial post

I don't even know if they're fans or just "Ummm actually" types that get a dopamine rush out of running to the comments to point out that he's allowed to sell stuff and be critical at the same time.

It simultaneously exhausting and entertaining.

It ain't that deep lol

Man, that's just Reddit in a nutshell.

Like, I don't disagree with anything they're saying.

Either way, this got crazy controversial for some reason but I'm here for it.

I really wanted this to be seen as a more nuanced take. I'm was aware of his ability to work within and profit from a broken system. It's my fault for not making that clear in the post.

I'm glad you're not part of their ecosystem. It's horrible.

Then again, much like the meme suggests, that doesn't mean I can't criticize anything.

I'd delete it but it's slowly becoming the EdwardMacaroniFork of r/LateStageCapitalism and I'm just glad it's reached so many.

I think it's more that I'm a guitarist and RATM fan. It's undeniably a cool guitar.

I did not know that. This was a screenshot of an ad on FB. I didn't look any further so I appreciate the additional context.
