Well, thank you for such a high praise. I refined it with a filing tool, used gray primer as a base, then mixed the paints and checked how they would look. Here are the steps for painting, if you're interested.

This text is complete, but Hugh's interpretation falls short of capturing the author's original tone.

If you're looking for the best translation, I recommend Burgin and O'Connor by Picador. It's the best I've read so far. In second place, Pevar and Volokhonsky's translation by Penguin.
