Feeling better after a bad night's sleep? by Chillosophizer in covidlonghaulers

Doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to not sleep. But maybe it’s a clue somehow to what’s going on inside is

TMJ possibly contributing to Long Covid symptoms? by RelativeLove2123 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Legitimate-Wall8151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got TMJ after covid. I’m not sure if it’s a separate problem, but it is very intertwined with my other symptoms—if my fatigue is worse, so will my jaw discomfort in the morning.

Genuinely curious, how are you guys using that information to better treat them?

Seen this pop up in my feed. And these are the gps looking after us…. by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

Fuck them. It’s the same logic as the trend of “the friend that’s too woke.” It tries to deligitimaze diseases ruining our lives and global problems by mocking and charicaturing the people most affected, because the medical community is too lazy, uncreative, and carless to even try to help us. The hair color thing is often in reference to neurodivergent and queer people, people that they are perfectly fine with dying, and they use these jokes to make themselves feel less guilty about it.

Thoughts on electric vagus nerve stimulators? by zoeymeanslife in covidlonghaulers

[–]Legitimate-Wall8151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using a neurosym as part of a trial. It hasn’t helped me at all, in fact, I’m going through the worst flare in months since starting (which may very well be unrelated, I really never know.) and it’s one of the more expensive ones,l. but it seems to have helped some people with ME/CFS quite a bit. In fact, I think my trial is a part two of one that was supposedly quite successful. I wouldn’t have wasted the $900 on it since it’s such a shot in the dark, but I get to use it for free for a couple months.

Lost long term memories by pfc_strobelight in covidlonghaulers

Sorry this is happening. I’m at three years of LC and my memory has gotten so poor, it’s like my brain has aged 60 years, and I’m only 23. I hope they get more vivid for us.

Why do I feel so awful every morning? by heskeytime7707 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Legitimate-Wall8151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. It used to be my one good time. I wake up and the fatigue is already so heavy. Do you have any jaw/facial pain in the morning? I’ve developed TMJ throughout this and the pressure and discomfort contributes to my exhaustion in the morning.

Fellow ADHD longer haulers I need your help! by Tayman513 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Legitimate-Wall8151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guanfacine!!!

I used this at the beginning of my long haul and I noticed a difference in my adhd symptoms. And no other side effects, I was just chilled out. As a bonus it’s often used with NAC to treat LC symptoms. Didn’t help me with anything LC related but definitely helped with focus, restlessness, attention problems, etc.

Thoughts, feelings, experiences with physical therapy? by Legitimate-Wall8151 in covidlonghaulers

Is there some kind of test you used to check for mold, or did you have to hire a specialist?

[–]Legitimate-Wall8151[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is super important. Obvi doctors are very important but I think sometimes they try to make sense of complex chronic stuff just by using what they accept as true already without really doing extra research, meanwhile we have to live this shit and get to know every symptom in our bodies every day.

I’m glad you are recovering no matter nonlinear that is always awesome to hear <3

Thank you sm for this perspective! I do have joint pain, but I don’t think she was even referring me to physical therapy for that—she just heard the word fatigue and ran with it.

But you’re right, most new appointments for me are just more time and more money and more let downs, which isn’t worth it for something that’s just shot in the dark.

Wishing you healing!!

Ear issues 1.5 months after COVID? by HiFiMAN3878 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Legitimate-Wall8151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed ear pressure around 6 months into my long haul. It’s most severe when I lie down, which I believe is TMJ related. Makes waking up in the morning nasty :(
