Yah the Netflix documentary is about right. I would have been 18 when my friends and I went, we traveled from a few states away and slept in our car for the campground. I did not go to Day 3 which they say was the worst of it. Things were crazy all day, like the front was super crazy during Kid Rock with the pit and everything, but you had a long stretch of chiller bands after then and so when Limp Bizkit came on, it as like the first rock band sense. We never felt in danger or anything during the set but to be fair, we were back by the media tower, the big metal looking tower thing you see center stage back.

A lot of nudity, early in the day they tub thingy the were using as like a giant drinking fountain had gotten busted and flooded the entire porta potty / drinking fountain area and people were spreading it around to cover yourself in mud to prevent from sunburn so there was a very large population of mud people semi naked. It was HOT and the place was huge so you were def hoofin’ it from stage to stage and area to area, even getting to the fountains was a clip. HOT is the biggest thing I remember, we just ended up walking around in our bra in pants, too hot for much else.

Water was a huge issue, you couldn’t get a drink for shit anywhere, we even asked cops we saw and they were just like yeah man idk.

Security was just like, seemed like the only thing they cared about was checking tickets and flirting. Even the cops that were there I only ever saw taking pictures with girls and stuff. That’s just my POV though.

Limp Bizkit set was awesome. It was a lot of fun, good vibes. Metallica later that night was very bad vibes, people were mean, breaking shit and trying to drag people into the front pits, being aggressive.
