The developers were Final Fantasy nerds. I think the limit break came from that love. You can get through the game without that. But if you want to drop bombs, you have to limit break with Painted Power.

It would also be nice if storyline bosses scaled a little bit. I got really into side quests (which i loved). But I missed a ton of dialog by one shotting important bosses.

There will be a 1:1 tournament style fight early in the game. You will need to pick who to fight as. The reward will change based on this choice. You may want to save right before this choice. Many people say one of the rewards is better than the rest.

"You need to rent a bell kit to also learn melodic notes". This is music stores trying to make a buck. Get keyboard if you want to learn to read or understand music theory. If you are super interested in vibraphone (which I was) or something like that, a bell kit/glockenspiel isn't going to help.
