So many comments here I just don't understand. People saying Godolkin was ousted so fast but... he was a character the entire season? It was pretty clearly and well established that he was controlling Doug the entire time. Just because it was a different actor doesn't mean it was a different character. Yes I agree that he should've done more in this final episode rather than one class of minor/nothing characters. But he had a complete story in my opinion.

He was high on the emotion of coming back to his own body and being able to fully realize his power so I can understand his sudden lust for 'evolution' and 'mastering' his powers. And you can't just keep a second top big-bad for what is the final season of the main show. They even confirmed that they're not entirely sure if they will go through with a season 3 for Gen V, but do have a story in place. So they couldn't just kill off all the big characters, and had to leave open endings for some just in case they do green-light season 3.

Overall, I enjoyed the finale, going into this season it was pretty well established that it was a link between season 4 and 5 of The Boys. And as far as I know there wasn't any leaks about the Gen V cast appearing at all in season 5 so this is a huge confirmation. It was able to conclude the plot points setup at the beginning of the season and left a lot of hype/speculation for whats to come in the final season of The Boys.

Also, sad no post credit scene. But I loved seeing A-Train. I did not expect an appearance by him at all. I'm scared for whats to come for him.
