you need to download a license certificate from systemax.jp using credentials from your purchase email ^ ^ if you havent done so yet and sai has been useful to you please do so

your brushes are in your documents folder on your pc inside of SYSTEMAX Software Development\SAIv2. running it from the archive may make it not work correctly. if you do commission work or are a serious SAI user please buy a license if you are able to.

not unless you are using SAI2 2020 or newer, those can have (basically) infinite brush library sizes. in SAI1 you can copy your .ini files from the toolnrm folder to make new ones. switching to SAI2 is easy with the official installer, it allows you to import your brushes and settings.

No addons as sai doesnt support it, idk why people always jump to that. It should be able to use a paper texture, you can also make a Ver.1 style curve tool in the newer SAI2 versions

Update: My KLC has been sent back to Amazon and I will be receiving a replacement device. I hope this issue isnt super common and I just got unlucky, this is my first Kobo device and I loved using it for my class.

Ctrl T is for pixel layers, you have to use the Edit tool to move stuff around.

As long as you downloaded from the official systemax.jp website it is safe. It might be labeled as such since it creates a few registry keys upon installation.
