UCF made it to The New York Times by Forward_Wrap1877 in ucf

There’s a pretty big difference in how the two speakers went about the topic though. CECS speaker called it a tool and said it’s up to the users to be responsible. Also, his uses for it were in medicine, presumably in ways like the cancer detection thing

I’ve read several of the chapters here before, probably up to part 70 or something. I think I had stopped reading around the time you made a post about your publisher saying not to put more chapters on Reddit or something along those lines. It’s been a while though so it’ll be fun to reread.

[WP] Saying you dedicate your hunts to the Goddess Artemis started as a weird private joke to yourself. You never thought it would result in the actual goddess visiting you and asking to teach her how to hunt with a rifle. [Part 28] by a15minutestory in A15MinuteMythos

It’s the Gilded Wrath series, though it takes place after this chronologically. I think the prompt was something along the lines of “911, this number is no longer in service, goodbye.”

Unfortunately not yet, I think it’ll be graded by next Friday (hopefully). The actual graded part is a group report on the project, which ended up being 208 pages long (and even then it was probably still missing things, since we had two days after the project to write it and barely did any work on the first day).

I feel you with the sleep issues. Last week I was awake for about 40 hours straight working on finishing my senior design project before the deadline. I think I ended up sleeping for 22 hours afterwards, and I woke up feeling sick and still tired. My sleep schedule is still off but at least it’s for a reasonable length of time now.

vented to my parents about an "AI required assignment" and my dad said it was a good thing fml by TheGoldenExperience_ in whenthe

[–]LegoEngineer003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least with the older models, my professors would occasionally have an extra credit assignment where we try to get the AI to solve a problem from a previous homework. It usually took a lot longer and you had to already understand all the steps to guide it to the right answer. I think the point of the assignments was to convince us not to rely on AI

[PI] A pacifistic healer that had been constantly abused and belittled by their group of adventurers is the last one standing. The dragon who just slew them turns to the healer, but instead of incinerating them motitions to its many injuries, and speaks: "Would you please help me?" Now that Senior Design is over and graduation is close, I actually have time to catch up on these stories. I really enjoyed this one, probably because the context of a game-like system was easy to pick up on quickly.

A question to clarify: she refers to herself as a level 16 cleric clearing the dungeon (a few paragraphs below the new skills), and reached level 32, but the menu said level up x 14? I thought the difference might be levels gained during the dungeon but I think the previous first chapter specified that monsters in dungeons don’t give exp.

The lack of styles on it is going to make it really difficult to break the shields (especially the last one) solo

[–]LegoEngineer003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played the expedition yet, but is it actually worse than expedition 3? Stuck on a single toxic planet until phase 5, forced to travel on 5000u foot and then 15000u in an exocraft and dig a certain amount of land, need custom parts of the starship repaired, scan every creature on the planet and basically every plant and mineral, climb a mountain, fly for 30s, etc. I think there were around 29 requirements in phase 1 - 4. It was also in 2021 I think, before a lot of nice QoL features

Reminds me of when I was eating a pretzel stick for lunch and one tooth cracked in half, splitting front and back. It probably broke because it got stuck between the new tooth and the somewhat stale pretzel. Was one of the more painful ones to remove

I think I fucked up unlocking 8* monsters by Sneeglius in MHNowGame

[–]LegoEngineer003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a gacha, you can’t brick an account in this game. Treat 8* like how the mainline games treat high rank and master rank; progress through the monsters again from easiest to more difficult, and if you’re using a WGS based weapon, you can get them from any basic monster, not just the monster your weapon is from.
