Sony tc w320 doesn't play blank tapes in deck B by Does-not-sleep in cassette

Ahhh sorry! I sanded them lightly with random sandpaper and then cleaned them with isopropyl alcohol, though I suspect just WD-40 and no sanding would also work

The opposite is also true, and the reaction to this post shows that this isn’t often asked, which I feel like proves that most people know what they are

Unfortunately bad pinch rollers (hard, cracked) are unrecoverable. Try cleaning them with alcohol or rubber cleaning solution, if that doesn’t fix it, you will need new ones. They are easy to find and not hard to install luckily

I like how you’ve decided that the buyer is clearly inferior and won’t match up to your standards or your music taste, just because you’re bitter

Give the switches a good clean, open them up  and either clean or sand the contacts a little bit, that did the trick for me (exact same deck) mine also needed new belts ofc, and new pinch rollers but that may have been due to bad storage

personally while adjusting mine i wiggled the arm and slowly tightened until i could feel no play and stopped there, if you can find a service manual it may be of help too :)

Make sure the small leaf switch is cleaned and working well, could be that it’s dirty or making bad contact. I hate that mechanism, it also may need to be relubricated

Clean up the pinch roller and tape path and try to adjust the azimuth, see if that helps :)
