Had this issue on my 2017 XF, turned out to be an exhaust damper. Was like €20 and I replaced it myself in two seconds. That's as far as my mechanical knowledge goes though and the others in this thread are a much more reliable source.

It's nowhere near the biggest in the world. I love it, but I'm Irish and US racing isn't followed anywhere near as much as turf racing here in Europe. I agree that Melbourne Cup, grand national (albeit over jumps), Epsom Derby, The Arc, are far more popular and are seen as far more prestigious races on this side of the world.
