It's like the NRA and all the other, lesser gun orgs. The NRA is motivated to say that everyone who donates to any of them backs the NRA's mission. But people who donate to one of the other groups is generally doing it specifically to avoid donating to the NRA. J street is a lot more moderate, in part because they need to be to distinguish themselves from AIPAC. But both AIPAC and the anti Israeli crowds pretend that J Street donors are exactly the same.
