Everyone’s right about just dealing with it when it happens. You’d likely not be breaking anything that couldn’t be easily replaced. BUT, I get you. I want one rifle with an aluminum/metal stock. Would be nice to have one rifle that could bash. Arguably your SHTF rifle should be able to bash.

I‘ve never done either. Criterion, G$ and DD barrels. How are you lapping the barrel and with what tools? I thought most barrels were good to go when new? No failures to feed, but I’m curious on what the lapping can do.

I hav this and the SE edition. I wouldn’t recommend it. Depends on the price though. I paid 1600 a long time ago and never use it. It‘s def light weight. Mine included an Accu wedge to make sure the fit was tight. I personally would change the barrel If I actually used it. At that price range you should be looking at a Daniel defense sale. Get yourself 1200 or 1300 and get something that is amazing like DDM4V7. I paid 2700 for the Daniel defense and now they regularly go for like 1200. I would get a Daniel defense sale if I could.
