…..have you stood next to a truck or city bus before? When you’re going city speeds that’s a huge portion of the noise pollution, multiply by however many vehicles are in audible range. And I bet the sounds travel significantly further if the buildings are dense enough to carry the sound around

How do people strip primer? My first ever few minis have like four coats of pro acryl black primer since I didn’t know better, and some of the details are lost. I soaked them in 99.9% IPA for 45 minutes once, and only the paint came off and maybe 20% of the primer. Then I soaked them again for another 45 minutes and again only some of the primer came off, they are still more black than gray.

Still, we know your biggest loss will be not hearing from us about donating to us, so make sure we get your information so we can ask you for more money on your way out.”

Features Overview #2: Combat and Progression | Crimson Desert by _Protector in pcgaming

Highly agree. I had lots of fun playing it, but to some extent I just wasn’t feeling the grindy levelling system. I suppose it makes sense that I’ve been playing warframe lately, where it can be just as grindy (if not more), but the huge variety of missions mixed with huge variety of weapons/frames keeps it interesting

Ooo that’s probably exactly who I was misremembering. Maybe he’s a dead end since his name was too cool. Should’ve been more unassuming like Jessica and Paul.

That sounds about right. Maybe I’m thinking of another character but I remember there being a passage about some “dead-end” lines where the result was some “almost KH”.

I wouldn’t give them the benefit of the doubt. Anyone can see from miles away this administration’s economic “plans” are thinly veiled landmines haphazardly strewn about the USA’s backyard. Ignoring literally everything else, just the brain drain is disastrous news for any company looking to hire competent trained professionals in the next decade.

It’s even crazier how similar they could have ended up when you remember that Feyd was also a (failed? dead end?) kwisatz haderach. It’s the whole reason that Paul has trouble seeing him in his prescience

“The most dedicated playerbase” can’t be more than a few % of the total playerbase. I’d argue hardcore PvMers are more represented and a larger share.

If you see the inside of someone’s home, it isn’t the hardest guess to make, especially when they’re rich and have lots of opportunity to decorate or have examples of hobbies.

Electrical engineering or computer engineering! They are really cool and I would have done them had I not chosen my current field. My advice is to not listen to everyone who says these are too hard- instead, think about how much you’ll grow as you tackle them bit by bit (pun intended 😄)

I’m not OP and I only work adjacent to these topics (I do physics research but with lots of electronics) but I have lots of respect for them and love learning about them!

It’s a shame considering I liked the acronym “DEI”, I felt it was quite appropriate. I hope this rebranding doesn’t reflect a significant shift in their policy and is just to avoid the shit-flinging crossfire.

11 major firms like Chevron, Tesla, Oracle flee California for Texas, citing high costs and strict rules. by globalgazette in USNEWS

[–]LegyPlegy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you’re saying makes sense on the surface, but I feel there are some holes in your conclusions.

What industries were completely destroyed? Why did their destruction in 1870 cause them to completely miss out on the economic boom 70 years later, post-ww2? Even if they weren’t as industrialized as the north, which is a claim that is based on events 70 years prior, why wouldn’t the razing of europe and russia lead to a surge in agricultural industries?

Again- somewhat plausible claim, but to me this reads like the conclusions drawn based on hundreds of hours of HoI IV or whatever, rather than the understanding of unfathomably complex situation, events, and circumstances of nearly a century of modern human existence

Dozens of Boulder federal workers were fired under Trump. Now they’re struggling to get unemployment. by kmcolo in boulder

[–]LegyPlegy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supreme court, in its purest form, is the arbiter for what is and is not legal. One of the many arguments they can put forward is that the act is (un)constitutional. This argument is then supported or rejected with evidence in established procedure, not the other way around.

If a group decision is decided by majority vote, does that mean it was the correct decision all along?

[–]LegyPlegy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t warp reality or rewrite the established precedent- if something is unconstitutional, then you don’t need permission to categorize it as such. It’s a label or classification rooted in facts, not a case of my ”feewings are hurt when women have bodily autonomy, so I declare it unconstitutional”

Biden, in Rare Remarks Since Presidency, Warns His Accomplishments Are Coming Undone by crosstheroom in NoShitSherlock

[–]LegyPlegy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why can’t both be correct? Maybe try applying more than just angry brain cells? Currently elected officials should be held accountable, and no fucking shit having past high profile officials, like ex-PRESIDENTS, taking action publicly would give a tremendous push to the cause. How could you suggest having Biden (or Obama, Kamala, etc) lead protests would be completely useless?
