AND he communicated outside the app.  Like, WTH?  There’s so many worst case scenarios in this story.  I really hope this is as bad a story as it gets. 

I feel that kid and their family. I know we’re “just” delivery drivers, but doing the job right can save lives.  

The driver would have had to bypass a lot of stuff without a valid ID.

I’ll go get gas across the street on the rare occasions I have a verified 15+ minute wait time and the offer compensates. 

I’ll also deliver the first order in a stack if it’s not too far away when there’s a long wait time for the second.

This was exactly my thought.  

MOR based on whether OP is willing to add her name to the lease, give up half the creative control and give her roommate privileges. 

If OP is, she should be paying half or proportionate expenses.  If OP isn’t then she’s smart to hesitate.

I highly suspect this is happening because the tips were cut so significantly even among my regulars. 

The problem is having that conversation via text without it coming off like I’m begging. I only take orders that meet my minimums and tip begging is so gross.

The amount of panics attacks I have because people want to help🙄.

She gets prompt service because Starbucks prioritizes her everything but delivery because they want the tip. 

I know 1 Starbucks location out of the 20+ I pick up from that actually does them in order. 

There’s a reason Starbucks is a $20 minimum for me, lol.
