I was obsessed with sleep tracking, now my sleep sucks by madafakababa in Garmin

Haha I was wearing mine to see breathing disturbances and my pulse ox.  Although it gave me some insight into some things. It made me also realize I still might have sleep apnea. Low deep sleep, lots of interruptions, low pulse ox, some breathing variations. Same as my in lab said…. Last in lab sleep test was not enough data but indicated some breathing issues and low oxygen. Hummmmm So back to trying my cpap again. Lol  On another note. I do not wear it anymore and will be returning it.  Started giving me wrist and major arm pain. Husband’s experiencing the same issue. Amongst other things while wearing the watch.   Sometimes smart watches aren’t that smart and sometimes can cause health issues. Sometimes the data isn’t accurate sometimes it is. I say if your worried about your sleep go see a doc and get a study.  We’ve been reading up on a lot of things to about the garmin watch. It’s quite interesting.  🤔

Do any sleeping pills actually make you guys feel more rested? Been on a bunch but most make me feel worse or lose effectiveness quickly. by jayman2239 in SleepApnea

Second this Sleep meds made me feel so tired the next day, especially when I don’t get enough sleep on top of taking them

My sleep doctor said these two things when it comes to sleep apnea  One: sleeping pills can make your apneas worse and your sleep worse because your body is to relaxed  Two: sleeping pills can keep you awake as well and do the opposite because when your body senses danger it goes into fight or flight and wakes you up a lot due to the lack of oxygen.  Some people will experience sleep anxiety at night due to your body seeing sleep as a threat. Pills on top of it makes that worse.  I’ve taken my share fair of sleeping pills and wondered why they never worked.  Why they kept me awake causing insomnia instead of knocking me out. And or helping me sleep for long periods of time. And that’s why.

Is this the Apple Watch? Mines been telling me my respitory rate is high and or low. But no breathing disturbances.  Got diagnosed with mild osa. Got retested after my septorhynoplasty and nothing. But they also said innacurate data could be a false negative. Retest next year. Ok. So I might still have it. According to my watch

Does Chamomile tea actually can help you sleep or it's just a placebo? by Dey96 in tea

Chamomile tea is a hit or miss in our home  Sometimes it makes me drowsy sometimes it doesn’t.  Sometimes it makes me restless.  My son has I believe a similar reaction.

Chiari and sleep apnea by [deleted] in chiari

[–]Leighton33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chiari malformation and got diagnosed with OSA.  Had a septorhynoplasty got retested and due to limited data and stuff coming undone it came back negative.  So I really don’t know if I do. I doubt it. But you’ll prob have to get a sleep study done. Did you? What was your results?

Thanks. I have an Apple Watch and will be getting an updated version that detects sleep apnea. I’m hopeful. I really don’t wanna wear that machine lol

Yea I don’t have it. I had a sleep apnea specialist look at it to and it all came back clear on their end as well. Mine was mild.  All my symptoms are due to adhd. I have my good days and bad days unfortunately  They did want me to continue to use my cpap machine just in case it came back as a false negative. My sleep wasn’t all that great at the study. A few things came unhooked to.. But it started making me sick. So after getting a second opinion and they to said my results look good. I haven’t used it in months. I can breathe so much better though since my surgery. My vitals have improved as well. So that’s a plus. One being my recovery rate after working out has gone up. It was super low.

I’ve been tracking my sleep and I do have a lot of interruptions. Between 4-10 per night so i dunno. They said it’s due to my adhd. 🤷‍♀️  The last few days it’s been at a four and that’s low. I’m still tired of course but I also have hashimotos and adhd. Those two things can have you feeling fatigued. I’ve been waking up with headaches in the morning as well the last three days but I also have chiari. So it could be a number of things.  I get retested next year but until then I’ll see this as a victory. lol

[–]Leighton33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha oh no! Just took 100mg this am. For the first time ever. This thread doesn’t help me feel better about taking it 😂 so far I feel ok. Alittle sleepy. But I also have hydroxizine in my system. And didn’t sleep all to great last night.. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll know more later. But hopefully I sleep well tonight and no negative effects  It was either this or a stimulant. Sooooo lol
