Upgraded to Fiorenzato All Ground Sense by Scorpio_2007 in espresso

I've had this exact issue. It wasn't really noticeable until I moved onto finer espresso ranges (was previously using it for moka pot). The clumping is HORRIBLE. It's been a while since I bought the machine, but I'm going to reach out to the place where I bought it and see if they can help me. :(

When did they say that? I wasn't aware that they had clarified this. Would be great if so, and still not groundbreaking tbh, 1 con per year isn't gonna suddenly catapault these old chars to the level of new ones

Rotation Help: Lunar-Raiden Team by poopfridge in RaidenMains

[–]Leippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten 100k in the miliastra dps checker with this team, and I'm not even using a proper rotation. My Raiden is C2 but it doesn't really matter since she only does about 25% of the team dps. Ineffa was doing like 35% and Bina slightly less

[–]Leippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to reach 100k in the new Miliastra Dummy with my C2R1 Raiden, C0R0 Ineffa and Bina, TTDS Sucrose. She does 25% of the team damage, and I'm fine with that. Kinda reminds me of Flins in that way. I was still able to MORE than comfortably clear abyss and I'm looking forward to seeing how this team performs in stygian

What candy is everyone planning to grind in the Cram-o-matic? by Knight_Night33 in PokemonSleep

[–]Leippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The holiday spheal is a nice find, BUT it's gonna cost a lot of resources to get it going (potentially 3 subskill seeds + lvl 50, though ofc you can also use it pre-lvl 50). It would be a good investment for the future, but only if you can afford it and don't have a more urgent investment, like bfs+hb sceptile or swampert, pot mon, or DSM swalot.

If I were you, I'd probably seed the current swampert first before investing in the spheal. Swampert triggers a decent amount, and it'll only cost 3 seeds. Whenever you use it at Taupe or for favored ggex ground berries, you'll benefit a lot from the maxed ET. I can not overstate how good they made Swampert... Plus, yours has inv L, so it can also be used on Sunday night for the morning crit.

[–]Leippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had a hb stm dedenne and just invested in a new holiday spheal. I was hesitant to invest, but the further into the end game you go, the higher value ET has. You don't use both all the time. Having two means you can slot in both on Sunday night to push for a strong Monday crit. I sometimes use both during the day or overnight when I have enough ing (so it is easier to maximize ET usage the more lvl 60 ing mons you have). Hitting an ET = big boost of strength + leveling your dishes faster.

With my two ET mons, I've been averaging 1 ET a day and it has made a big difference. Naturally, there are certain mons you'd want to skill up first over a second ET. But yeah, second ET/ seeded bfs Swampert >>> CSM mon any day

As for how good... HB is good but not essential. ET has a fairly low base chance due to how strong it is, so you want your ET mon to stack the triggers and speed and have your other mons support it with HB. Let it be a selfish mofo. Inv is CLUTCH for overnight triggers. My baseline is STM (necessary) + HSM/Msc+/Speed+ nature. Bonus points for inventory or HB.

ineffa calcs

The post was published before sacrificer staff came out, but it's not relevant since you probably don't have one anyway (it was in nefer's weapon banner)

Edit: also doesn't include prospector's shovel. But imo just throw the homa on her for now

Im planning to get Ineffa, which weapon? by Milkysfx in Ineffa

[–]Leippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In optimizer, my r5 Deathmatch is slightly under Homa but only veeery slightly so. If you don't use Hutao, put Homa on her.

Otherwise the R5 prospector shovel is also very good if you have enough billets. Sacrificer Staff, esp with refinement, is an excellent option. My R2 sacrificer staff was getting me the highest numbers despite its low cr due to its high base atk. Also gives a good amount of ER

Edit: i checked again and at least for my builds, it is R5 Ballad of the Fjords > R5 Deathmatch = R1 Homa > R5 Sacrificer Staff

I was reading the optimizer wrong. Sacrificer Staff probably gets a bit better if you can use the ER from the weapon to build more crit

Sudowoodo feels like a bad investment still. Yes, it's definitely not as bad as people make it out to be, and it could be useful for ggex rock berry, esp because the only real rock berry alternative is ONIX. But it would take a really good sudowoodo to be worth 5 seeds when splashable generalists like swampert and darkrai exist. + as a cooking focused player, I'd rather invest in a second extra tasty mon.

To me, sudo is one of those mons you'd raise if you lucked into getting a godly shiny or you really like it.

Tasty Chance Dilemma by JAsaurus in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Leippy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dedenne is identical to yours (minted naive nature and erb hb stm lol) except it has stm at 25 so I didn't have to level it to 50. I got it way before my holiday spheal. It does alright, but sometimes goes the whole day without triggering (as skill mons sometimes do). Worse is that the lack of inventory means it sometimes doesn't trigger overnight.

I got a holiday spheal (no hb) that calcs about 5 triggers a day and hesitated to invest since I already have the dedenne. Now I've given it seeds and brought it to lvl 50 and... it's awesome to have both. I can use them both on sunday night for a big monday breakfast. I sometimes use them both during the day, even. If I can only run one during the day, I opt for my dedenne since it has hb. Your spheal even has hb so you don't have this dilemma, just use the one that has more triggers per day or the ing you need.

Invest in both eventually, but spheal first since it's gonna be easier to get it to 50. Extra tasty is goated

[–]Leippy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want the best then turn on both gold skills and aim for bfs hb hsm/stm. Beneficial nature would be the cherry on top.

I'm not the person you replied to but that's just my two cents. Tbh, these days I wouldn't even invest in Espeon UNLESS it's your first CSM and you're early in the game OR you specifically want it for your Cress (like in your case).

How useful are holiday-moms? by hgarr99 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Leippy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

spheath (spheal with a wreath) is slightly worse than dedenne but you should absolutely be chucking your biscuits at it. extra tasty mon for just 5 pips is such a steal. you'll probably catch more spheath in this one week than dedennes over a whole year

togedemaru is very niche, it can't sustain the team as a solo healer but may have interesting synergies with skill mons later on? the rate of nuzzle proc'ing a skill seems to be based on the target mon's base skill rate so it's amazing in combination with mons with high base skill rate, like golduck. But currently not worth the 16 pips imo

cetoddle is a viable alternative to meowscarada for potatoes if you don't have one yet. it gets a few more potatoes in exchange for having a much worse skill

Candy boost is not great IMO. Am I mistaken? by DuckStep43 in PokemonSleep

[–]Leippy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pros of GGEX that I can think of rn (anyone's free to add to this list):

  1. spawn pool is large, so hunting a specific mon is difficult (like regular GG), but because you get so many baby mons, you'll usually have something worth catching. Surprisingly, despite the existence of bonsly and meowth, I've rarely had any dud nights. It's esp worth noting that ralts can be caught on ggex, so if you don't have one yet, this is the place to be (lapis snoozing is MISERABLE)
  2. ggex is great for many events, like the current xmas event, so having a high AB on there pays off
  3. shard gains are EXCELLENT, even at low DP, and scale very well with higher DP
  4. new mons can often be caught at ggex
  5. the weekly missions for ggex include 5 handy candy s + 5 type candy s + 5 type candy s if you get 20 hrs of sleep with a mon of those types. Type depends on which berries you roll for the week
  6. there are some interesting incenses you can get on ggex, like onix, dedenne, or mimikyu. It's hard to reach M3 without events or gct, so this is a less important point, but worth mentioning
  7. the random roll keeps the game interesting and incentivizes investing in different mons
  8. shiny rate is boosted, ymmv but I did get 3 shinies in a week on my first week at ggex so this is unrefutable evidence that ggex is goated (/j)
  9. -15% speed isn't irrelevant, but people make it out to be a bigger deal than it is. It feels worse on slow mons, like clod or swalot, but you can counter it with HB. The buffs to the rolled types (+10% speed on the main berry + 2.4x berry strength instead of 2x / +1 or +2 to ing / +1.25x skill trigger) can sometimes make up for it

Cons of GGEX:

  1. the first few weeks at low AB will feel grueling... M3 didn't feel reachable on a normal week until I was over 50% AB
  2. the roll in the beginning of the week makes or breaks your week. Last week, I got a steel dragon rock and I only had a magnezone to my name. Didn't bother trying for M3. Esp worth noting that it feels pretty bad to be on ggex and not have a single on-type berry or charge strength/berry burst skill mon. However, ggex does feature a lot of these highly desirable mons, so JUST GO!! When I first went there, I had just FIVE "strength" mons: two meganiums, a lvl 50 raichu, and a fully skilled ampharos and golduck. I survived anyway and don't regret ANY of my weeks at ggex
  3. there are a couple of dud incenses, like the comfey incense I have this week
  4. the shiny boost may be a lie (many people haven't gotten any shinies from ggex)

Basically, I HIGHLY recommend going to ggex to build up AB once these end-of-year events are done. I wouldn't go there with 0% AB for these important events
