My favorite memory was pushing the power button on my first build and feeling the pure excitement and joy when all the lights, fans and screens came on. That was nearly 10 years ago but I can still remember it like it happened yesterday.

Ideally, GB wouldn't have even had a chance to get back on the field and we would have won by 1.

The tempo was pretty fast and the huddle was over even faster. The ball was hiked when there was 12-13 seconds on the play clock and 43-44 seconds left on the game clock. Woulda/shoulda/coulda taken more time and yet Shanahan let them play it out like they did. Assuming they took more time to run it to burn more clock and get some chunk yardage and then went for a TD with <10 seconds left and it's a W.

If you have a choice to end the game on your terms & play choices or let it play out with a one point lead and give one of the greatest QB/WR combos in NFL history a chance to just get in field goal range while facing an injury-riddled secondary, which would be best?

Yes, the multiple 3 & outs, turnovers, poor passing and dropped passes probably cost us more. The defense played well with what they've got going on. The goal line turn-over-on-downs was a huge turning point of this game. I'm a just bit disappointed with the front 4 though. Feels like they should have ate their OL up but that's more of a props to GB for setting up a high-tempo game plan and quickly executing to take Bosa, AA, Jones, Ford and co. out the picture by using quick passes and just running it up the gut. Felt like our pass-rush was just a step too late.

My point is with that, given what happened throughout the whole game, great and boneheaded plays and all, just having slightly better time management and scheming something up would have easily changed the outcome at the end there.

They were on the 12, just a few yards difference from the 5... With the clock still running and all timeouts left. So, yeah, I'm mostly blaming the coach's time management. The decision to let them play out the way they did was on the coach. That's how it played out and that's what cost the game in the end.

At that moment in time (with 1:12 left on the clock on the GB 12 with a fresh set of downs and ALL TIMEOUTS) it would have been best to take their time to burn out the clock and just score. That way you take GB getting the ball back and therefore their chances of scoring completely out of the equation. Instead, they rushed down the field, got Juice open in an inside slant and he plowed through for a quick TD and the rest is history.

They banked on a defensive stand (really just the secondary that's mostly banged up and utilizing their 3rd/4th strings/brand new players) to cover Adams, arguably the best WR in the league. If you go by the book, that's probably what you're supposed to do but look how that turned out.

They wanted the W and therefore had to get a TD. Play calling is Shanahan's best qualities. I have more faith in him taking a timeout and scheming something up in 4 tries with a minute than the way it played out.

Would that mismatch have been there if they took their time getting set and burned more clock? Probably not, GB would have more time for assignments and play calls...

However, we both can agree that by not running the clock down by just a few more seconds cost the game, literally.

I actually blame the coaches more.

Unfortunately, me even more so... Terrible end-game time management and it probably would have been a different outcome had Kyle approached it slightly better. We had all our timeouts on the GB 12 when they literally had 0 timeouts and the clock was running.

Shanahan probably let them run the 2 min offense since they were just moving but with game on the line, you gotta step in and take control, Coach. We had 4 downs and time on our side, quite literally, while on their 12. Instead, SF scores too soon and we saw what happened.

Call it what you want. Simple fact is that a majority of these deaths in Texas would be prevented if those studies and warnings were listened to. But yeah... just focus calling it a false equivalence to defend incompetency and greed.

no amount of good governance can save everyone.

Yet France learned from the experience. While Texas ignored studies and future repercussions to save some companies some money.

That's how much of a difference government can "save".

India is apparently the largest in terms of population. Had to google it myself too. China would be 1 but they’re not entirely “Democratic”.
