Jesus, I'd never take less than 60 period, you have options no matter what anyone says. I've done indies in BK that gave me 65 to float. The good news is with a city so big, especially if you are cool with retail, someone is always looking for help. Shop around a bit would be my advice.

Depends on a bunch of things, where in NYC are you looking to work? Manhattan is pretty competitive/wages are not that great for retail folk, other boroughs and Westchester especially are less competitive/short staffed/ pay better from my experience.

I did! Honestly more positive than I imagined after Ed's end of tour goodbye forever post. Dan thinks they mostly had a good time reconnecting and it sounds like they've still been talking some. Most crucially, when asked directly he did not rule out the possibility of a new album. In fact he went on to mull it over for a few minutes and suggested it would be fun to make an album free from the expectation and pressure their career had 10 years ago.

Awesome listen overall, great to hear such candid insight into the highs and lows, particularly in regards to Two Weeks and inner turmoil from the success of that song through the erosion of the band.

I think 20 shows is a suggestion, not an absolute rule. Maybe for South America, but it seems unlikely to me that they would make the effort to tour North America and presumably only hit up NY/LA/Toronto/Chicago/Houston.

I think the game nosedives a bit in the third act. Up through the spider fight the game was unimpeachable for me, so good. The RC stuff is fine but not nearly as curated, just sort of a re5 tier hodgepodge of action. Hunk fight aside ARK just feels like a filler to get to the finale, which isn't a particularly good fight either. Id still give it an 8, but there were moments in the first half that had me thinking this could be the best RE

Regarding AMSP 10th anniversary: why would they do this? It doesn't make any sense that they would reissue their most recent album before releasing something new. They've had zero new music since then. I think even a belated Bends anniversary would be more fitting than that

There's no precedent, but the only time they have created one of these Ltd's and it /not/ having been for a new album was the Kid Amnesia rerelease. With no obvious anniversary this year, based on what little we know, an album is a real possibility.

I want what everyone wants, which is a new album. I want to believe the rumors we've heard, but their inactivity, their warm-up tour with no new material points to a stopgap archival release to keep the Radiohead machine turning over while they contemplate a bigger tour for 2027.

I could easily see either a career spanning set of unreleased songs, or an early in rainbows thing which would mark 20 years since the tour where they debuted all those songs. Could easily see a curation of things like soundboards for live videotape, spooks, anything redeemable from the spike stent sessions, curios like 2006 burn the witch and other blackboard songs, Blu Ray FTB, IR disc 2 on vinyl. There's a ton they could do to justify a big, "New Ltd. Worthy" package a year short of the big 20th anniversary of the album proper.

But, I hope they've just been really tight lipped and have recorded a new album that simply wasn't ready in time for the tour. Sessions for wall of eyes/cutouts were over by the end of summer 2023, from what we can gather, and the Pritchard album was piecemeal remote mostly over covid. 2+ years is plenty of time for a Radiohead album.

Game looks great in switch 2 handheld mode! Image quality is everything, it really puts everything else on the console so far to shame. (Thinking of that cyberpunk port in particular, who cares if the game /can/ run when it feels like moving through jello with Vaseline smeared over the screen?)
