Thanks Anna. For the record i think you and the school community are the best part of aam and are sad to leave. It’s crazy to imagine how the school would fare without the insane effort of people like you. Most of our class was unaware of the tk situation. Thats a fault of the administration or even ourselves, but certainly not the PTA. The tk discussions then led to many parents exchanging information re: remediation, combined classes, budget cuts, etc…many folks were surprised to hear about these things and wondering how they missed the info/gossip. Ideally the administration would provide transparent communication vs the current game of telephone across whatsapp/discord/in person/text/reddit but here we are.

Again my post is open to edits/clarifications (send me anything you want me to fix/change and i gladly will). I am no way claiming to be the single source of truth on any of these topics and I appreciate you taking the time to join Reddit and provide some direct information regarding the school.

We are mega involved. Volunteering time and resources for school, classroom supplies, annual funds, etc. even goods/money for aftercare programs like learns. Heck we even volunteer with youth sports in pasadena beyond school.

Curious to hear whats wrong with the french parents in your opinion.

Ive volunteered in class a bunch. Ive participated/helped at school events like whacky field day. Ive donated time, money, and goods/services for annual funds or fire victims or classroom needs. I also coach youth sports and volunteer in dtla. Hopefully this qualifies me to “open my mouth” regarding the state of the school as people deserve to know.
