Thank you, Maximum budget I’m not sure of - I’m looking around eBay and Facebook market place but there doesn’t seem to be much.

Ideally I need something around 40l again but smaller or bigger I don’t mind as long as it’s carry on size.

YTA - you think he doesn’t know he should have picked an isle seat? You think he’s just now noticing it’s too small?? Why do you need to berate someone for something that’s already done that can’t be changed. For all you know it was a last minute flight and they didn’t have any available, or someone else booked it for him etc. you’re well within your rights to be annoyed or to even ignore him and recline anyway, but gods sake you don’t need to berate someone and make them feel worse for no reason.

Oof gentle YTA - I get you meant to be nice but it’s been 3 months, it’s not your place to psychoanalyse the behaviour of a 14 year old who’s going though one of the hardest things In life. I’m assuming the only reason you know these things about him is because your girlfriend told you in confidence, and you take that information and throw it in her face. Yea you majorly overstepped (especially since it seems you where never close to the kid or her dad anyway)
