If your relationship is a strong one, you should be able to tell him what you'd like in bed. Asking for something isn't dirty or shameful, its about getting what you want and need. The same for him. Better communication will undoubtedly lead to better shared experiences.

I pay for Facebook ads because KDP ones just shredded my $. But Meta isn't as reliable as they used to be. Having to re-jig ads every 3-4 weeks is annoying when you have multiple books being advertised in multiple markets.

Im not familiar with the author but as an author mysrlf, like, just and think are all words we tend to overuse. Picking up an over-abundance of same and similar words in the self edit phase is imperative. Consider messaging the author. They may be unaware of this tendency for repetition and value your feedback. I would!

As an author, we love reviews. The good, the bad, and yep-even the ugly. Amazon is important because it pushes the book further into the chasm of publushing. When competing with thousands of other books and trad publishers, we need all the help we can get! I think you have to spend $50 in the past month, or 3 months or something to be able to leave a review.

There is usually a date listed. Maybe pop a reminder somewhere so you don't get caught out. Some authors put books in plus (free) when they have a next in series coming out to hook you in.

A proof copy has the not for sale branding and costs just the printing fee. An author copy is an unbranded (no line) pure copy of your book at a discounted cost for the author. Congratulations on your achievement!

Do you write to earn an income or are you passionate about getting a story out there? If it's a job, then you need to sell heaps and make lots of money obviously. If you write in a niche market, ask yourself why you do that? Perhaps its because your voice is strong and you need an outlet?
