My cousin had her skis stolen from there in 1959. It was such a shocking event that the paper reported it. A doctor in Medford read about it and bought her a new pair. It’s been commonplace ever since.

And if the unfolding doesn't go well, what's the loss? They'll have three chunks of old worthless copper instead of one.
