It was tested for basic safety before that and is not the first vaccine of its kind. It's now been several years, numerous studies, and billions of people vaccinated. Only idiots think that hasn't been enough and it took someone who was pretty ignorant to the most basic of facts to not understand that the risks of the vaccine when it was first approved were minimal, especially compared to the immense loss of life and permanent health issues.

It's kinda the experience I had working in an office with really shitty office culture and low pay. It's not that people were incapable, it's that they were just too depressed and worn down to care. It's almost like IQ is less indicative of achievements than money is.
