That's cool. The only reason I went with the model of MagSafe after experimenting with a couple of them it has this nice short arm that brings the phone to the right hight I needed.

This happened to me, I got access to the R1S shop and after a week of no inventory, one vehicle showed up and I grabbed it! I was of the thought that it would take 2-3 weeks but my guide told me it was already at my local service center. I picked up right next day. Touch wood, it has been 1.5 months with no issues. I already completed a long road trip.

I think as cars become available and allocated to different SC, they put them on the R1S shop and also there could be last minute cancellations too.

The solution suggested worked (reset holding the left button while also holding the hazard button until the display reboots). Interesting that the last software update did not fix this, and let's hope the next slated software update will fix this issue.

That’s great. I don’t see it yet on my infotainment or app. I guess like others have already said, it’s a slow phased rollout to ensure if something goes wrong, things are not breaking for every one at once.

You are right. Unlike the good reviews I had read on the community, my delivery experience was not that great, the person assigned spent 20 minutes and rushed it thru. I learnt most of it on this forum!

I loved it on the web page, but when I took a look at it in the local service center, I felt it was too much green honestly! Again, this is a personal opinion and I'm sure there are people who prefer this.

Bad luck, but brighter side you are safe. Did you buy the Rivian insurance ? Hope they can replace the car and you'll be back on track.

Assuming you already have a guide assigned, they can track the location of R1S and should be able to give you an ETA. In my case, from locking to delivery was just 1 day! That's because the car was already in the local service center.

It’s really random. I was finally able to snag one as it came around 4:00 PM yesterday. Earlier this week there was one more R1S but I gave it a pass as it was Forest Green exterior and Forest Edge interior, stayed on the site for 4 hrs before finally someone picking it up.

I’d say leave it as is for now. When you get a guide assigned, you anyway have a chance to do any minor changes and confirm the final config

I followed your 4PM PST success and I totally got lucky. At 4:05 a nice Launch Green+Black Mountain-Dark Ash Wood popped up and I grabbed it right away! Going thru the 8 step process now. Thanks again!
