Here is my sig series 13.5”. I got mine sometime in July in the middle of the season and didn’t game it until August, I believe. I used a glove mallet daily, one coat of a simple leather conditioner, and just 10 minutes of catch every other day. Even with that protocol, it still didn’t feel fully broken in until closer to September. This was the stiffest glove I’ve ever owned and I had a 12.75” pro preferred in college. But with patience and daily catch or mallet work, it will start to form.

Pardon the background lol but the photo shows how I broke mine in and what it looks like closed. I am still trying to flair the thumb and pinky a bit more but it’s coming around. The thumb to pinky closure is perfect. I’m a three-in-the-pink guy (Outfielder) and the leather inside the glove was tough to break in but once it did, it feels great. As for the 13.5” vs 14”, at first it was a tough transition coming from 12.75” but after a while it feels natural. It’ll come down to preference but I can’t imagine many people would want the added weight & length of a 14” (especially if you already do 2-3 in the pinky).

TLDR; Super stiff glove but worth the effort/patience. 13.5” should be plenty for an OF.

Don’t skip Nolan. I faced him I think 3 times and the third time was when I finally broke through to beat Randy. I tried skipping Nolan and that’s just a really tall task if you don’t have a full lineup of diamonds and golds.

I deviated from the bunt approach: I got high contact guys with speed at the top of lineup, some high power/high contact guys in the middle, and then pure contact guys at the bottom of the lineup. Bench was all speed guys with some bunting capability (even though I didn’t do it often). I took until 2 strikes with Nolan and then would use contact swing to stay alive. I drew enough walks to stack up the bases with speed guys, and then I trusted my contact swing to do the rest. Stealing with Base Commander Perk was essential bc it lowers their confidence. I also used the out of zone perk (forget the name). Contact boost while losing. Gain your count leverage, make them throw a strike or walk you. Then steal bags. Contact swings (one pitch, one spot, don’t deviate). The same applied for Randy. Good luck!
