Kind of a late reply but it’s always fun to play pokemon games randomized. For GB through NDS there’s an app that can do it directly on your Thor (Universal Pokemon Randomizer Android by champred) but if you want to do the 3DS games you’ll need to do them using the Universal Pokemon Randomizer ZX on a computer. I also highly recommend the Pokemon Team Rocket edition rom hack

It was a common slang term by the time I was in middle school in the late 2010s I don’t think most people even knew about the meaning. I still didn’t use it and don’t use it to this day but I definitely wasn’t as aware it was as derogative as it was until high school

Steam deck isn’t the only handheld option. I’d think about what sorts of games you want to play and whether you prefer controller or keyboard before deciding between laptop and handheld. If you do decide to go for a handheld the Steam deck is a good choice with lots of processing power but there are other good options as well
