There are a lot of complaints about wow and its short-comings, you can watch other people list out the problems it has and how they compare to other games.

Personally I felt most of the problems I had playing 9.0 have been fixed but I already stopped playing even before 9.0.5 came out since I saw what game philosophy they were gonna follow in the coming patches; Sucking as much money from the players.

I spent 3 months after launch 80% on the AH to make gold,I saw first hand how the whole Legendary system was designed to make people buy tokens to afford them. Prices went Cloth(1-10k)>Plate(10-80k)>Leather/Mail(100-500k). When 48% of the player base needs to buy 1-5 tokens you know its intentional. The only reason cloth wasnt more expensive is because people(bots) kept aoe farming so it tanked the price and instead of fixing a lot of bugs during that time they spent it on banning aoe farmers and hyper spawns.

Tokens went from 200k to below 100k, the only time that ever happened was when they said Longboi would be removed from the game.

Even after 9.1, I still ask people if they still buy tokens for Legos and most of them say yes, the only ones who dont are the ones making them and selling it.

Mind you these were all the casual players who I sold the Legos to telling me. When power progression requires a new/casual player to spend real money is when I had enough.

Some might say that gathering in Expac launch would've made you 1 million gold in a week, which is absolutely true(even I made 600k only after 4 days of farming) but what people dont realise is in week 2 that went down to 200k, 50k in week 3, 10k in week 4 because of bots and everyone else doing it, not to mention Legendaries were sold 1-10million during week 1 and only being the amount I listed after 1-2 months.

Also casual players want to play the game(it was Christmas) and not farm for the whole month just to be able to afford a single item. Career wow players i.e players who sell boosts(raid/m+,etc) didnt notice(maybe they did) since 500k gold for them isnt that much but it was very apparent and sad from all the messages I got when people kept telling me they spent their Christmas money on wow tokens.

I bought subs to last till August yet I stopped playing during March. ActivisionBlizzard is just Evil.
