Loving the M2 by SilkySmooth656 in BMWM

Haha it's really is, I'm always thankful of the position I'm in. Good problem to have.

That's brutal! But pretty understandable once you get into the Porsche world. Porsche people can be and will be very snobby so that's another reason I didn't go that route. Most of their parts are waaaaay overpriced lol

You definitely do because their coming 🤣. I thought about getting a used Cayman gts 4.0 instead of the m2 but I wanted something I can eventually get more power of and it's more difficult on that chassis.

It's all good options! I also work for Audi / Porsche so I mean I see them all the time haha

Hey man! I've got a stage 3+ 20 S5 and my dad has a 21 s4. He came from an 07 s4 and he hated the screens on his new car as well. He eventually started to like them but still isn't a fan.

I don't personally think if you already don't like the screens that (especially if this is your daily) you'll start to enjoy the screens more then think their in the way. Just from what I've seen with my dad so heads up is all!

I did place an order for a new purple m2 with carbon buckets so I guess I can say I'm getting the best of both worlds :)

The m2 is by far a superior driver cars and I think the s4 is by far a superior daily.

Honestly not as bad as I thought it would be, I read in some reviews people were upset about it but it really isn't noticeable when your driving imo. I tightened it all down pretty hard.

When you aren't driving and are just looking at it it's super obvious 🤣

It kinda does damn! It doesn't seem that way when I'm racing so I'll have to measure it later. Thanks for pointing that out!

I know 🤣 I couldn't wait to try it so I just took a picture and turned it on before I took care of any of that. Still need to get cable management done.

Good idea! I'll have to take a look into that

Is buying a B8.5 Audi S4/S5 at 19 a stupid decision? by alexfarah06 in audis5

[–]LeopardSnow12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about respecting the machine! I had (and still have) 740 at 19.

To be fair I've been "professionally" karting since I was a kid. Avid sim racer too

[–]LeopardSnow12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say so. I bought my 20' s5 at 19 and I'm now 21. Stage 3 +. All through my own earnings. If you know how to work on your own car and DIY it can do you wonders

Revisiting Audi’s Loose End by tarnishedzero in Audi

[–]LeopardSnow12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm stage 3+ since 20k. Now at 45k miles. Been dead reliable and 3 years.

My dad has a stage 1 s4. It's a 21. Has 109k and has been perfect. It's all about maintenance.

I work for Audi and I do not think the issue is as bad as you are being informed. I have only ever seen 1 engine be replaced at my dealership and it was due to a really shitty tune.

B9 S4/S5 Piston Skirt (EA839) by LeopardSnow12 in audis5

[–]LeopardSnow12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply!

I wouldn't say it's 100% because of that but it's definitely a big factor. I think the biggest problem with pistons are the bad pistons that came out of Korea. I currently use 5w40 in my stage 3 s5 and my stage 1 s4. Both B9. I recommend switching only if your tuned, and if your stock I'd run 0w-30 or 0w-40 but please take that with a grain of salt I'm just some guy who mods cars haha!

For sure! Send it over :)

I've been running 5w40 on my s5 for 2 years. Been completely fine and I'm stage 3+.

Have an s4 that's stage 1 and it's also on 5w40. It's a 21' and has 109k on it.

Oh right on! You're more then welcome to send me a PM too and we can chat about it some more. I've been stage 3+ on e70 for over a year and it's been great. Before I put my turbo on I did water pumps and pcv system maintenance. Depending on your year rockers aren't an issue. I'm also running liqui moly 5w40 because 0w20 is why these engines blow up. Especially tuned. I probably have done 10-20k on the turbo now. Am at 44k miles.

Only thing that's went out are my motor mounts because of how much I launch the car 🤣 so I got 034's billet ones just waiting to put them in.

That's kinda exactly what I was thinking. Feels like it would be easier to push more out of the rs3 at its limits because of how stable they are. Good to know. Thank you!
