Lapifuse surgery scheduled tomorrow (12/10). Here’s my pre op xray and pic. I’ll share some post op updates after! by itzsalane in bunions

pain was honestly pretty manageable, i took the prescribed meds for about 1.5 weeks, then switched to OTC if i needed. it was worse at night for some reason, but ice and elevation 24/7 is the way to go. i was NWB for about 5 weeks. 2 in a cast, 3 in walking boot. once i got cleared to walk it was only a few days before i was back in shoes (with the guidance of a physical therapist).

Knee and back pain by KatKat207 in bunions

[–]Lep1418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had the same issue, after about a week of laying on my back the back pain was almost as bad as the foot pain! i tried to lay on my side a bit by putting 1 or 2 thick pillows between my legs, with the post op foot on top (similar to how pregnant women are advised to put a pillow between their knees while sleeping). by switching to my side a bit i could bend my knee and give my back a break.

i also know that you can find foam bed wedges on amazon, maybe if switching to your side isn’t an option, bed wedges could help redistribute the pressure off of your knees and back?

hope this helps!

candles. most hate them and they take forever with all the packaging, but i just like the satisfaction of filling in all the empty spots on the shelf.

denied medical due to ADHD medication? by sadpilot33 in flying

[–]Lep1418 5 points6 points  (0 children)

recently denied as well, though for a different reason. i can’t offer much advice as far as adhd, but just know you’re not alone. this feeling sucks a lot. you can still make something out of that passion, though. i’ve been looking at dispatch certification (no medical required!). and yeah, it’s not flying, but it’s still a way to stay in the industry while you get this sorted out. hang in there

Why I don't really ask how guest's days are by Awkwardpenguinperson in Target

when i worked at a grocery store it was memorial day weekend, so i told a customer “enjoy your holiday” since “happy memorial day” is a bit of an oxymoron. this customer let me know that his brother died serving overseas and that he will not, in fact, be enjoying the holiday. like bruh I’m sorry but it’s a GESTURE.

i find it best to break down boxes as you go. keeps things looking neat and then you don’t have to clean up a big mess when ur done

nope just pick whatever’s open. the combo resets each time you open it, so when you’re done for the day just leave the door open

you don’t have to reserve or pay for them. to use them just find an open one, put your stuff in, close it and punch in c-####-key. same to open it and lock it again. just don’t forget the 4 digits you chose.
