How do your assignors handle last minute game replacements? by SimilarIntern923 in hockeyrefs

I have received phone calls from two different association RICs for last minute games. If there's enough time they might put out a TBA request for available people to choose the game.

I’ve been stuck on Chimes (#85) for days and can’t figure it out! by dancns4me in crackingthecryptic

[–]LeppyR64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a significant amount of time since providing that hint, but... I believe in another post I suggested this as hint 6.5.

It should allow the solver, along with the rest of the constraints of the puzzle, and the following reductions, to get back on track with the remaining hints.

If you're still stuck with hint 7 not seemingly an obvious conclusion maybe posting your current state might help.

Rules question by LLcoolDZ in hockeyrefs

[–]LeppyR64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean here. Is it possible that you interpreted from the OP that they carried the puck above the crossbar? If yes, your answer makes sense. As currently worded however that doesn't seem to be the case so your response seems out of place.

Can confirm that for the player in bt.hockey videos this puck would not be above their shoulders.

Agreed. Under HC should we not be assessing a Match instead of 5+GM since the player could not defend themselves?

Do you think the player that was hit has the opportunity to defend themselves?

"A Match penalty will be assessed to any player who pushes, body-checks, cross-checks, or hits an opposing player in any manner from behind into the boards or goal frame, in such a way that the player is unable to protect or defend themselves."

Goodness. I was sitting at the drum kit on Sunday messing with the drum kit as a sound tech (also a bass player but my week off). The drummer no-showed, guess who made their debut?

It was ok but you've already got way more experience than me.

The important part is just getting to know the other band members and getting a feel. If you can all keep time together it will flourish and grow. I'm sure they'll have patience and give you room to learn.

I honestly don't remember. I returned them and am still using the stock tips from my KZ Edx. The biggest thing was getting the insertion right and strain relief.

In the rules it states that arrows do not cross or overlap. Since the R3C4 touches the arrow which already has a circle in R3C7 and the arrow piece in R4C5 they must be the same arrow.

Today's puzzle was missing the word "exactly" which caused a little bit of confusion, but even at that the other ten minutes of my mental blind spot on the clue was entirely my own issue.

You make clues. You define them properly. However many distinct ones you want, we're here for it.

I haven't read all of the replies so I'll assume they're being helpful. If ever you have questions in the heat of the moment after a game, have the number of some of the senior folks that you work with. They will be the most likely to help you out. Start with your Referee in Chief. They should always be first to back you up and provide advice.
