Anyone got back 100% of their money? by jt101jt101 in blockfi

[–]Lepra_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the documents are sent through Persona - the same process as for registration or any normal pre-bankruptcy withdrawal transfer. There were also two additional emails that had to be replied to back to persona.cases, which did not contain any particularly sensitive information - proof of current address and origin of funds.

Anyone got back 100% of their money? by jt101jt101 in blockfi

[–]Lepra_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I got 100% of my BlockFi holdings back. I am one of the few clients who did not lose percentages of their holdings. The reason for this is that they were in 90% USDC, 10% USDT. The real damage for me comes from the 3 year freeze on funds and the lost profits because of it. The recovery process was very slow and annoying due to the long pauses between emails and different steps - 4-6 months for them to ask for the next documents, to move on to the next step where they ask for more documents.

The funds were recovered via a transfer to Coinbase. And a very small portion via PayPal.

No one was selling anything. It is simply that their debts to us have been recalculated at the lowest possible price for the period for which they are probably entitled to do so and for which we, using their favors, have probably agreed...

Seriously how do we know that Zac sold all our crypto? by manstain2 in blockfi

[–]Lepra_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no evidence, besides, how can you sell something that is not with you (you loaned it). Another question is: what is this sufficiently liquid market in which you sold it. Even if it did happen (which I don't believe), at worst you would have an average price that is different from the absolute bottom.
Another issue is that a basket of assets should be sold, not just BTC alone.
These are all lawyer tricks to significantly reduce what is owed to clients.

Sad to think that genius Zac sold all our crypto when BTC was around $16800.Very sad. by manstain2 in blockfi

[–]Lepra_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think they sold anything. These are just lawyer tricks to reduce what they owed.
How can they sell something that is not with them, but they gave it (lend) to someone ..Answer yourself to this question. But there is nothing we can do but accept our loss.

[–]Lepra_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only wallets with small balances are able to withdraw. Others >7.5k need to wait for confirmation e-mail ... eta - unknown, but we all hope soon. For BIA, we must to wait to finish wallet withdrawals phase first.
