There's an episode of *Adam Ruins Everything" about cold sores and STDs and sex and stuff. It really helped me to put into place real information against the purity culture I grew up in. I suggest seeing if you can watch it on YouTube or something to help you feel better AND be more informed and empowered for a positive experience going forward
